With the development of the financial system reformation of our country, the banking system is coming to shape. The city commercial banks are continuing contributing as a major force to the development of the local economy. However, compared to other commercial banks, most of the city commercial banks are week in capital, assets and competitive power. Meanwhile, for those foreign banks, joining the competition is only a matter of time after china's entry into the Word Trade Organization. Therefore, to survive in this rough battle, how to establish competitive strategy, how to make full use of the external opportunity, how to take advantage of resources and how to promote its competition are the problems that the Shijiazhuang City Commercial Bank must resolve and also they are the main purpose that this paper researches for.The subject of this thesis is the Shijiazhuang City Commercial Bank. This paper uses the competitive strategy to analyze and apprise Shijiazhuang city commercial banks from many aspects, including external competition situation and internal resources. On the basis of above-mentioned research, confirming the first strategy is diversity. This paper will explain the market segments, Market positioning, Development and innovation, Product pricing, Distribution channels, Customer management, during the process of strategic application.At the end of the dissertation, main approaches and concrete measures are put forward, in order to improve the execution, such as establishing an effective organizational structure, restructuring marketing system, strengthening Human Resource management, restructuring performance appraisal system , Strengthening informatization construction, boosting the corporation culture of the city commercial banks.
