A Research On The Efficiency Of Mongolian Large And Medium Commercial Banks

The world economic development is becoming more and more globalized,and the scale of the enterprises is also expanding.At present,enterprises focus on the development of performance,and also paying attention to the efficiency level of the enterprise.Mongolian bank sector is the most important part of Mongolian financial sector,so it is of great significance to its research.Over the past 20 years,the Mongolian commercial banks have overcome many difficulties and have been further developed.Although many scholars have researched on commercial bank sector,most studies have focused on research on commercial bank crisis and its forecasting,and have researched little on the efficiency of commercial banks.Therefore,use the DEA method has been chosen for the following researches.First,The current situation of the researches conducted domestically and internationally is summarized,and the frame of paper and main content are submitted.Therefore,this part lays foundation for the research.Secondly,the efficiency of the bank is defined and the main analysis method for the efficiency of the bank is introduced.Therefore the general DEA method is described,including the related concepts of DEA method,two basis models of DEA method and the panel data analysis of general DEA model.Thirdly,using the single index of labor productivity and the capital productivity,the efficiency situation of Mongolian commercial banks is analyzed.Finally,we give the evaluation index system of Mongolian commercial banks,and using the multi-index of the panel data method of DEA,the comprehensive and the technical efficiency of Mongolian commercial bank is evaluated.And the single index is compared with the multi-index.Although the bank managers take a lot of steps for banking operation,but in recent years Mongolian commercial bank’s efficiency is decreased.The conclusion of this paper is taken some suggestions to improve efficiency of Mongolian commercial banks.
