Research On Complementarity And Competition Of Trade Between China And Mongolia

Mongolia is an important neighbor of the north of China,the two countries' culture,economic and trade exchanges have never stopped since time immemorial.With the deepening of the strategy of "China-Russia-Mongolia Economic Corridor" and the deepening of Regional Economic Integration in Northeast Asia,the level of the economy and trade cooperation and social relations between the two countries has been continuously improved.The volume of trade between China and Mongolia presents an continuously ascending trend in a period of ten years,in 2016,the volume of trade between China and Mongolia has exceeded 800 million U.S.dollars.In today's international environment,the trade prospects between the two countries are very broad.Firstly,this paper elaborates the causes and advantages of international trade from the aspects of geo-economic theory,international production eclectic theory and national competitive advantage theory.Secondly,this paper has analysed the present situation of China-Mongolia trade according to the Mongolian economic development and foreign trade situation.This paper uses the means of trade association index,trade specialization coefficient,explicit comparative advantage index and net trade ratio and quantifies the status of complementarity and competitiveness of China-Mongolia trade based on the data of China-Mongolia trade in a period of ten years,and get the commodities categories that have the greater complementarity,this study furtherly obtain that there are many problems between the two countries' trade,such as the trade structrue asymmetry,the trade scale is so small.Finally,this paper puts forward the corresponding countermeasures from the macro and micro angles of promoting the development of China-Mongolia trade:strengthening the political mutual trust between the two countries and improving the policy coordination mechanism,and jointly promoting the cooperation in the field of humanities in the two countries;improving the trade and investment structure,strengthening the infrastructure construction,establishing the free movement system of the labor resources,and further opening the two sides' monetary control policies,improving the competitiveness of enterprises and export product quality.On the basis of this,it is necessary to vigorously develop bilateral trade between China and Mongolia.The two sides should consolidate the existing complementary commodities trade and actively encourage both enterprises to go out and introduce to further develop the bridge bond effectthe of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region in China-Mongolia economic and trade cooperation.
