Research On Project Of SMN Company MRO Supplier Management Optimization

As globalization increasing,diversity of customers demand growth,economical pressure growth,all companies are looking for method of cost reduction and efficiency improvement.Supply chain optimization is the key of value growth.Supplier management is the most key part in the supply chain,the quality of the suppliers management decides the efficiency of products flow,fund flow,information flow in the company operation.SMN Company is one of the most famous company all over the world in bicycle parts industry.Recently,the domestic and global economic environment is extremely complicated,the cost pressure is increasing.So cost reduction becomes more and more important to this company.To be aligned with the company's strategy,we learned new supplier management knowledge from a global supplier management developing trend.This was done to define the most optimized plan for SMN company's supplier management.The biggest issue of SMN supply management is the numerous supplier members.We will reduce the cost by optimizing suppliers.Then the SMN procurement department built a project team to analyze issues in supplier management.By optimizing the process,the organization and RFQ process reduces the suppliers number and centralizes the supply and increases benefit by reducing supply costs and improving management efficiency.The projects use SWOT analysis method,stakeholder benefits analysis to produce optimized plans,interviews and questionnaires to build supplier rating system.By following up with the whole process,this article's study is highly value and practical.
