In the modern market competition,procurement plays an important strategic role,and enterprises begin to pay attention to the procurement management.Supplier management is one of the core contents of procurement management,which include the discovery of supplier,the selection of supplier,the post evaluation of supplier,and the use of the post evaluation results.Through this process we can find out the good supplier.The current procurement management of commercial banks is more concerned about the operation of procurement projects,the management of the procurement process and the risks,which has not systematically managed suppliers yet.So banks and suppliers are still in opposition to each other rather than cooperative partners.The procurement process is still the game process caused by the information asymmetry.Banks to have to increase strengths in inspection,supervision and management in the procurement process because of the information asymmetry,which virtually raises the management costs,and also increases the procurement risk at the same time.However,with the intensification of market competition and the change of business models,the relationship between banks and enterprises should be change from supply and demand into a relationship in which supplying-demanding and cooperation have the same importance.Alliance and cooperation will be the direction of banks and enterprises in the future.So that outstanding suppliers can help the enterprises to reduce the procurement costs,decrease the procurement risks and enhance the competitive advantages.The importance of suppliers is increasing as an important part in banks' production and operation activities.So banks should pay more attention to supplier management and strengthen it.As a result,it is necessary to establish the supplier repository to promote the overall level of procurement management.The JS Bank has not pay enough attention on the supplier management just like the other commercial Banks,and it didn't has a complete system of the supplier management.The author who has realized the importance of the supplier management had worked 6 years in the purchasing department of the JS Bank,and the author wants to give some advices about the establishment and optimization of the supplier management system for the JS Bank in this paper.This paper introduces the basic concept,the main theoretical basis and the basic characteristics of the supplier management at the beginning,and analyzes the management value of bank brought by the outstanding supplier management system at the same time,which includes reducing procurement costs and improving profitability,strengthening the quality control of suppliers,improving the response speed of enterprises to market change,incenting supplier improving the quality and service of products,ensuring procurement in standard operation and helping enterprises to develop and maintain cooperative relations between enterprises and suppliers.Then,finding out the existing problems by analyzing the present situation and problems of the JS bank's current supplier management.Finally,giving some advices about the supplier management system according to the existing problems in order to solve related problems and promote the supplier management lever of the JS bank.Suggestions includes formulating supplier management strategy,classifying the suppliers and implementing differentiation relationship management,designing organization structure of head office of JS bank's supplier management team,formulating the corresponding selection criteria for different categories of suppliers,strengthening the control of suppliers and stipulating post evaluation criteria of suppliers.At last,implementing the corresponding incentives for suppliers according to the post evaluation result.It helps JS bank perfect supplier management system,establish strategic cooperative partnership with high quality suppliers and form common development and the "win-win" between Banks and enterprises through a series of measures.
