Study On Status And Problems And Countermeasures Of The Iron And Steel Industry In Hebei Province

As an important pillar industry in the national economy,iron and steel industry is an important reference point about comprehensive national strength and industrial level.The development of iron and steel industry influences other industries such as construction,machinery,shipbuilding,automobile and household electrical appliances.After decades of development,Chinese iron and steel industry achieves remarkable results,the production of iron and steel ranks first in the world all the time in recent years.Though the production and consumption stay the first place,Chinese iron and steel industry is not a real sense of strong power.In the context of new normal of China’s economy,the development of upstream and downstream market which closely linked with iron and steel industrial chain is reducing.At the same time,the structural capacity is being excess seriously for low-level redundant construction in iron and steel industry.So the market of iron and steel industry is confronted with the pressure of a slowdown.Hebei province is known as the ‘No.one iron and steel province’ in China,the iron and steel industry is one of the most important strategic pillar industry.The industrial scale,the sales revenue and the total profit of the iron and steel industry are all the highest in China.In the total industrial profit in Hebei province,the profit of iron and steel industry share is over 25 percent.However,in the year of 2014,the iron and steel industry had to say goodbye to high profits,though there was a little promotion in 2015,the general pattern of oversupply in iron and steel industry is still subsisting,the problems haven’t been solved.Based on the background,objective and significance of the research,this article introduces the status of the iron and steel industry in Hebei province.Through the previous research results,analyzing the develop dilemma such as overcapacity and irrational structure,confined productive resource,serious environmental pollution,lacked innovation,numerous low-productive minor enterprises.Combined with work experiences from Hebei Puyang steel company limited,the textual gives us some suggestions,for example,optimizing industrial production,perfecting product marketing,developing green production,strengthening enterprise innovation,promoting enterprise restructuring and so on.By the planning of iron and steel industrial adjustment and upgrade(from the year 2016 to 2020),we define the direction of future development of iron and steel industry in Hebei province.Though there are lots of troubles,we can complete the key point such as reducing capacity,M&A,transformation,upgrading and supply side reforming,the development of iron and steel industry is full of hope.
