The business of credit card combines the financial service and information technology.It takes advantage of the integration of payment and financing,multi-channel of online and offline services.Moreover,it brings convenience to customer experience and abundant commercial opportunities for enterprises.The income brought by the credit card has become the main bank intermediary business income.Nowadays,commercial banks put more energy on the development of credit card business,and this phenomenon makes credit card market a Red Sea market.Bank of Jilin is a Provincial Government-controlled cross-regional commercial bank.It is established in October 2007.Its business ranges from Jilin Province to City of Dalian and Shenyang and the number of branches is 357 in total.Besides,there are 10 rural banks and a loan company,which is set joint with First Auto Mobile Finance CO.,LTD.In 2010,the second largest Korean financial institute was introduced as a strategic investor.After years of development,Bank of Jilin got very excellent performance in operation.With the industry evolution and upgrading,the increasing rate of economy becomes slower,however,Bank of Jilin has better performance in operating scale and profit making,thus becoming the new force in financial area all over the province and even the whole country.Bank of Jilin holds the concept of “Development of Five Finance” and takes measures of business operating transformation.Bank of Jilin opened its credit card business in 2013.As a regional commercial bank,there is a great need to research on the subject of how to widen its consumption finance market as well as how to catch up with the other experienced financial institution with such fierce market competition.This dissertation contains 4 chapters.The first chapter is an introduction of background,domestic and foreign overview as well as research framework and research methodology.In the second chapter,the domestic credit card business pattern and consumption financial market will be analyzed.Combined with the mainstream of credit card business pattern,I will analyze the main idea of the strategy and give the reflection and suggested measures for the bank.The third chapter describes the current status and problems of credit card business.It will start with the current situation of credit card business of Bank of Jilin and analyze the problems as well as the reasons.The last chapter will design a strategy and operating insurance for credit card business of the bank.Besides,some effective advice of developing the credit card business will be illustrated.Moreover,I will give some of my own idea based on the case study and standard analysis.
