Analysis Of The Business Performance Of Chongqing Rural Commercial Bank Before And After IPO

Chongqing Rural Commercial Bank landed on the Hong Kong stock listing platform officially in December 2010,becoming China's first listed rural commercial bank.To explore whether the rural commercial banks listed can improve its performance,enhance operational efficiency,this paper takes Chongqing rural commercial bank as an example,and analyses its operating performance before and after its listing comprehensively.First,this paper does the analysis about four aspects from the level of earnings,business growth,asset quality and solvency by using the financial data between 2008 and 2015 of Chongqing Rural Commercial Bank.Second,based on the chongqing rural commercial bank from 2008 to 2016 in the first half of the semi-annual data,by building the BCC-super efficiency DEA model,respectively from the pure technical efficiency and scale efficiency and technical efficiency measure performance before and after the three aspects are listed.Third,26 banks are selected as the same level of Chongqing Rural Commercial Bank,data from 2009 to 2012,3 time periods are also prepared for the total 27 banks to carry on the Malmquist index analysis and so that we can get the variable operating performance comprehensively before and after the listing of Chongqing Rural Commercial Bank.At last,16 larger listed commercial banks are selected to do the analysis of Malmqusit on BCC-DEA with the comparison of Chongqing Rural Commercial Bank.The study found that list for Chongqing Rural Commercial has great improvement for it's financial indicators.From the perspective of dea,the bank has made rapid progress in pure technical efficiency in the previous year while falling after listed.At the same time,the comprehensive efficiency has also been in a state of falling.It is also can be found from the comparison of the city banks and the rural banks which are not listed that Chongqing Rural Commercial Bank has lifted it's rank greatly after listed,and it's overall operating efficiency is also improved.But there is still huge gap between the large listed commercial banks and Chongqing Rural Commercial bank on behalf of the rural commercial banks in the technology management,capital operation and so on.
