A Study On The Risks Of China ’s Direct Investment In The Countries Along The Belt And Road

Since the concept of the Belt and Road was put forward for the first time in 2013,it has become one of the hottest topics in the 21 st century.With the advance of the initiative,it undoubtedly will give many countries along the Belt and Road much economic development.In this context,Chinese enterprises will also step up the pace of investment and increase the investment in the Belt and Road countries,so that China’s foreign direct investment process into the stage of rapid development.Since the concept of the Belt and Road has been put forward,the domestic academic articles have conducted more discussions around the Belt and Road.Early researches on the Belt and Road have focused on the demonstration of promoting China’s foreign direct investment,upgrading of industrial structure and RMB Internationalization and so on.However,with the development of the Belt and Road,it is becoming more and more important to identify and understand the risks of direct investment in China along the the Belt and Road.To fully understand the risks that China may face in the direct investment of the Belt and Road,it will be beneficial to our country to make the location choice of the direct investment of the Belt and Road,which will be helpful to guard against the risks.There are five chapters in this paper,which can be divided into three parts:The first part includes the chapter 1,introduction,and chapter 2,the status quo of China’s direct investment in the countries along the Belt and Road.This part first combs the research on the risks of foreign direct investment.Also briefly introduces the status quo of China’s direct investment in the countries along the Belt and Road from three aspects,laying a theoretical foundation for the article.The second part includes Chapter 3 and Chapter 4.This part is the core of this article.Firstly,it analyzes the political,economic and other risks that China faces in the process of direct investment in the countries along the Belt and Road.On the basis of this,factor analysis is used to analyze the political risks,economic risks and direct investment risks of 65 countries along the Belt and Road,and then a sort of the relative risk of 65 countries is obtained.The third part is chapter 5,conclusion and policy recommendations.On the basis of summarizing the research and analysis of the full text,this paper puts forward some policy recommendations on the risks.Based on the analysis of the actual situation of countries along the Belt and Road,this paper summarizes the types of direct investment risk,and makes quantitative analysis on the three types of risks to the relative risks of 65 countries,providing a beneficial reference for China’s direct investment in the countries along the Belt and Road.
