| Since the reform and opening-up policy,China’s economy has made remarkable achievements in development.The average annual GDP growth of 9.64% from 1978 to2015 is known as a "Chinese miracle".This kind of rapid growth is largely due to the contribution of manufacturing development,which had formed a forward-east industrial structure,and leaded to a development disparities between the eastern,central and western region,long-term regional development imbalance will hinder the healthy development of China’s economy.The 18 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China put forward the development strategy of the Yangtze River Economic Belt.Subsequently,the State Council promulgated the Guiding Opinions on Promoting the Development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt along the Golden Waterway in which the Yangtze River Economic Belt is thought as a demonstration belt to promote industrial transformation and upgrading,promoting coordinated development of Eastern,Central and Western.Therefore,this paper analyzes the influence that the industrial agglomeration has on the regional economic growth in the Yangtze River economic Belt,then provides theoretical support,empirical evidence and countermeasures for guiding the industrial transfer and promoting the regional economic development,which is of great practical significance to the industrial restructuring of the Yangtze River economic Belt,optimizing the industrial layout and coordinating the balanced development of the region.This paper reviews the relevant research at home and abroad,establishes the theoretical analysis model under the framework of the new economic geography,and discusses the mechanism that the industrial agglomeration has on the regional economic growth.Based on the analysis of the overall development situation to manufacturing industry of the Yangtze River economic belt,this paper uses the location entropy index,the space Gini coefficient and the EG index,from the spatial and industrial aspects,to measure the accumulation and diffusion of the manufacturing industry in the Yangtze River from 2000 to 2014.The result shows that the manufacturing industry of theYangtze River economic belt in general from 2005 to 2008 experience a transition from accumulation to proliferation.On the basis of theoretical research,this paper is based on the provincial statistical data and sub-industry statistics from 2000 to 2014 and uses fixed effect method to make empirical test to the development effect and the crowded effect of the manufacturing industry in the Yangtze River economic Belt from the regional and industrial two aspects.The conclusions as follows: in general,the industrial agglomeration of the Yangtze River economic Belt has a "inverted U" type relationship with the regional economic growth and industrial growth,which means that there is an excessive concentration for the manufacturing industry of the Yangtze River economic belt.For these specific industries,tobacco industry,textile industry,chemical raw materials and chemical products manufacturing,general equipment manufacturing,special equipment manufacturing,communications equipment,computer and other electronic equipment manufacturing industry all have shown an excessive accumulation.Based on the research above,this paper puts forward some countermeasures and suggestions that could promote the upgrading of regional technology by guiding a rational gather of the industry. |
