Analysis On The Measurement And Comparison Of The Liberalization Level Of Service Trade Between China And South Korea

With the development of international trade,the development of trade in goods has become increasingly saturated,the focus of global economic development increased gradually to service trade,strengthen mutual service trade has become the consensus in the development of foreign trade.Therefore,it is of great significance to carry out in-depth research on trade in services,to promote the transformation of trade structure and achieve further economic development.At present,the academic circles about the service trade liberalization level measure problem has many methods,but most of them are used to calculate the duty ratio,and this paper is using the frequency index method to measure the level of liberalization of service trade between China and South Korea,to analyse the development of service trade between the two countries.Since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and South Korea,the trade in services between the two countries has been greatly developed.In particular,China and South Korea FTA project in 2015 officially signed,it is the economic and trade cooperation between the two countries has a milestone significance.Firstly,this paper compares the situation of trade in services between China and South Korea,and points out that the development of trade in services between the two countries has a rapid growth rate,but the level is low.Then,the specific commitments of FTA established after the signing of the schedules of the frequency estimates,shows that FTA after the establishment of the development level of service trade between the two countries has been significantly improved,but still exposed some problems.Finally,how to improve the level of China's service trade liberalization,and promote the realization of better economic and trade relations between the two countries put forward the corresponding policy recommendations.Based on the measurement of the level of liberalization of trade in services between China and South Korea,according to the frequency index method proposed by Hoekman,this paper estimates the frequency index of China's South Korea and the South Korea after the establishment of the FTA.Through analyzing the data,we found that the big background of promoting the service trade between China and South Korea in the rapid development of the world service trade also has a remarkable progress,especially after the establishment of FTA,China and South Korea trade in services either in quantity or quality have been obviously improved.But at the same time,we should also pay attention to the problems in the development of trade in services.We can see that there is a big gap between the level of development of China's service trade and the developed countries.Faced with this situation,China and South Korea should increase the intensity of the development of trade in services,to take appropriate measures to protect the weak competitiveness of the sector,thecompetitiveness of the sector to accelerate the optimization and upgrading of industrial structure.At the same time,the development process should also attach importance to the training of professional personnel of trade in services,make full use of the opportunity to establish a free trade zone between China and South Korea,and comprehensively improve the level of trade in services between the two sides.
