| In the ever-competitive global business environment,companies may fail to adapt to the environment due to crisis.In this situation,companies call for self-sacrificing leaders to help companies get out of the woods.During my internship experience,by talking to different companies,I found two interesting phenomenon: 1)different leader have different impact on their followers about psychological situation.2)Even share the same leader,different followers’ EQ are different because of psychological capital.In the present set of studies,the authors examine the idea that self-sacrificial leadership motivates followers’ positive attitude,and increase cohesion in Organization.Self-sacrificial leadership is separated from transformational leadership by Choi and Mai-Dalton,He defined self-sacrificial leadership as a kind of leadership that leaders give up or extend personal interests to achieve a better collective well-being.It has been proved that transformational leadership motivates followers’ psychological capital.Authentically and transformational leading have a significant impact on followers’ psychological capital.Self-sacrificial leadership motivates followers’ positive attitude,and increase cohesion in Organization.Wong & Law(2004)found that people who have high emotional intelligence can eliminate their negative emotions,maintaining a positive state of mind.Lopes(2006)finds that emotional intelligence is related to job performance and attitudes of work,even under high stress work condition,people who have high emotional intelligence can moderate their mentality,keep optimistic,achieving organization goals more effectively.We draw two main conclusions as follows: 1.Leader’s self-sacrificial leadership can promote followers’ Emotional intelligence.And leaders’ gender,age and marital status affect the relationship.2.Followers’ psychological capital can moderate between them.This study will find out if leaders could cultivate and develop their followers’ Emotional intelligence by moderating their leadership style,and how followers’ psychological capital could work in such situation. |
