General secretary Xi Jinping stressed: "we must rely on innovation to become powerful,and innovation depends on talent".As a source of power for enterprises to obtain core competitiveness,innovation is rooted in the accumulation of employees' innovative capabilities.Therefore,encouraging employees to innovate could be a crucial task for business leaders.Especially in China,which advocates "public entrepreneurship and innovation".So,what role does the corporate leader play in leading the innovation of organizations and employees? What kind of leadership style is more conducive to improving employees' creativity and inspiring their innovative behavior? Which situational factors affect the relationship between leadership and innovation? These questions have become one of the research hot issues in the field of innovation.In recent years,the Chinese management academic community has closely followed the international pace.From the perspective of transformational,inclusive,modest,and transactional leadership styles,the relationship between these styles and employee innovation behaviors has been thoroughly explored.However,there is a lack of research on the relationship between self-sacrificing leadership styles and employee innovation behaviors that deeply depend on our country's cultural background,and have a rich experience.This study believes that self-sacrificing leadership which emphasizes the collective interest over individual interests is an antecedent variable that has research value related to employee innovation behavior in China.In addition,as China has become the second-largest economy in the world,the management academic circles in China continue to introduce internationally accepted academic concepts while also considering how to promote local research.In this regard,this study deliberately selected "traditionalism" features with local Chinese cultural characteristics as situational adjustment variable.At the same time,the impact of leadership style on employee innovation behavior is a complex and dynamic process,and employees' psychological perception plays an important role.Therefore,in the study of the influence mechanism of leadership style on employee innovation behavior,it is necessary to introduce psychological variables.Based on the theories of social learning,social cognition,and social exchange,this study believes that the psychological factors closely related to employee innovation behavior include at least individual self-confidence level and psychological security.Additionally,this paper introduces two intermediary variables: "innovation self-efficacy" and "mental security".In the literature research and review,this paper systematically studies the concept connotation and influencing factors of relevant research variables;on this basis,it clarifies the logical relationship between the variables,builds the theoretical model accordingly,and proposes corresponding Hypothesis;then select the mature scale design questionnaire,use a scientific questionnaire to issue the questionnaire,a total of 260 valid questionnaires were collected,samples from all walks of life of corporate employees;the final analysis of the data by SPSS 20.0,verify the correlation Assumptions.This article draws the following conclusions:1.There is a positive correlation between self-sacrificing leaders and employees' innovation behaviors;2.Employees' self-efficacy of innovation plays an intermediary role between self-sacrificing leadership and employees' innovative behavior.3.The sense of personal psychological security of employees plays an intermediary role between self-sacrificing leadership and employees' innovative behavior.4.Traditionalism regulates the influence of self-sacrificing leadership on employees' innovative self-efficacy.That is,the higher the employee's traditionalism,the positive relationship between self-sacrificing leadership and employee's innovative self-efficacy is enhanced.On the contrary,the lower the employee's traditionalism,the positive relationship between self-sacrificing leadership and employees' innovative self-efficacy is weakened.However,the adjustment effect of traditionalism between self-sacrificing leadership and individual employee psychological security is not significant.
