This article focuses on the perspective of middle-income countries to analyze the relationship of industry structure with economic growth.We analyze the characteristics of industry structure through comparative analysis,and analyze the leading role of industry structure on economic growth through empirical analysis.Firstly,this article illustrates the law of industry structure evolution from the perspective of the theory of industry structure.Then,we try to make a comparative analysis of the industry structure of middle-income countries with low-income countries and high-income countries using the World Bank database,in order to conclude the characteristics of industry structure of middle-income countries.Furthermore,we make an empirical study on industry structure of middle-income countries through multi-dimensional visual angles,such as countries of different types of income changes and middle-income countries of different regions.What is more,we make a comparative analysis of the industry structure of China,Korea and Brazil to obtain the central conclusion of this paper.The conclusion is in the process of a country entering the stage of high-income from the middle-income phase,rapid industrial growth is the main driving forces of the initial phase and rapid growth in services is the main power in later stage.Finally,aiming at problems existing in China' s industrial structure transformation,we put forward three corresponding policy recommendations:first,develop strategic industries and high-tech industries vigorously;second,improve the level of service;third,conduct different regional strategy of industrial development.
