Since the 21 st century,the commercial bank management environment,competition situation,customer demand has changed a lot in the marketization of interest rate and financial disintermediation.It has make a huge threat to the traditional model which rely mainly on net interest rate differential.Domestic and foreign commercial bank management thoughts,ideas and management pattern has had the profound change,the status of retail business in commercial bank business is rising get more and more relevant parties attention,most commercial Banks have accelerated the pace of development of retail banking business.Compare with the bank business,retail business market prospect abnormal broad,and can spread risk effectively,improve the profitability of the Banks.Bank of communications as one of the five state-owned Banks,its large part of profits depend on the interest income from business.The core development stratage focus on traditional deposit and lending business,and small retail business account for the individual business scale,structure,profitability and development potential,etc.Compared with domestic and foreign outstanding bank has certain gap,in the new economic situation,bank of communications must speed up the implementation of the retail business transformation.This paper is based on the problem of the transformation of ratailing bank of Bank of communications under many challenges.This paper in view of the problems for study,elaborated the selected topic significance as well as the selected topic background,the research results of scholars at home and abroad are summarized,then puts forward the research train of thought in this paper.Secondly,this paper briefly introduces the development history of bank of communications,and business operating conditions,using PEST analysis method to analyze the political,economic,social and technological factors,and the SWOT analysis method to analyze the strengths,weaknesses,opportunities,and threats of the development,then summarizes the environmental factors.Then,details the measures taken in its retailing business transformation and results,and then analyses the problems encountered in the process of transformation and the cause of the problem.Finally,this paper argues that in today's global financial system profound changes,to further promote China's economic structure adjustment,to develop the retailing bank business has become the inevitable choice of bank of communications In the fierce competition,only to grasp the strategic opportunity under the new situation,actively adjust the business structure,to speed up the product and service innovation,improving customer management and risk management system,strengthen the team construction,and actively promote reform and innovation,to establish the excellent core competitive power and sustainable development ability,Bank of communications can make outstanding contributions for the structure transformation and the growth of national economy.
