Antidumping And The Quality Upgrading Of China’s Export Products

Since the reform and open policy,our country economy after 30 years rapid growth,the side effects are appeared gradually and economic growth rate is becoming slowly.Now we are badly need to transform the pattern of economic development in our country,promote transformation and upgrade of the industrial structure.Because the commodities such as oil price fluctuations continuously,frequent black swans,major economies are difficult to recovery after the crisis,in the future the uncertainty of the world economy will increase.What’s more,the reverse globalization,trade protectionism,nationalism and nationalism are rising,Europe,the United States and other developed economies will pay more attention to their own interests.Predictably,a period of time in the future some countries or regions will frequently implement trade restrictions to our country.Therefore,the anti-dumping is still need special attention of academics and policy makers.Based on 1995-2014 HS6-bit encoded data of the United States antidumping cases,this paper studies the impact of anti-dumping on Chinese export product quality.This paper mainly studies the following two aspects:First,by selecting the appropriate quality measurement model,we can calculate the quality of 366 kinds of products that have been subjected to anti-dumping for eight consecutive years;Secondly,using the empirical method to study the American anti-dumping to our country the impact of the export product quality.On this basis,I put forward research results and policy Suggestions.The results showed that the anti-dumping investigation has a greater negative influence on the quality of relevant export products.Among them,the positive ruling and the imposition of anti-dumping duties have negative impact on the quality at the first year after the decision,and this negative impact in the subsequent years gradually eased.On the other hand,the results show that negative verdict on the quality of the products involved in the ascension also has a certain role in promoting,and this remind us on the appeal of the anti-dumping investigation,we must not be blindly passive avoidance,but should actively respond.At the same time,the results also show that the anti-dumping not only has adverse effects on the number of exports,but also has significant inhibitory effects on quality of exports,which makes the anti-dumping on China’s exports further expansion of the damage.
