Domestic private enterprises have made great progress in the past 30 years under the reform and opening policy.As the important part of domestic enterprises,the small and medium-sized private enterprises own 98 percent of the whole quantity of domestic enterprises and 60 percent of the whole GDP,which gives a great contribution to the economic growth and the social employment.With the coming of knowledge economy time,human resource has been pushed up to a higher level and became an important symbol of the core advantage and competitiveness of an enterprise.As the significant part of human resource,compensation has been the key for small and medium-sized private enterprises to keep,motivate and attract talents.Therefore,that design a scientific,reasonable,competitive and motivating compensation system stands in front of the small and medium-sized private enterprises which want to keep sustainable development,which is also practically significant.This paper aims to collect theoretical foundation of compensation system for small and medium-sized private enterprises through the analysis and review of the compensation research first.Then,combing with theoretical foundation collected,the paper proposes strategies according to the analysis of the situation,existing problems and reason of domestic small and medium-sized private enterprises,which provides basic methods for compensation system design.Lastly,the paper takes Company A as an example of compensation system design of small and medium-sized private enterprises.The compensation system is designed according to the development strategy and current situation of Company A after well knowing the current compensation system of Company A.The advanced theories and scientific methods during the compensation system design can also be used to design compensation system for similar enterprises.
