Economists have been researching the causes of industrial agglomeration from a long time ago.For example,Marshall believes that industrial agglomeration is a phenomenon in the enterprise space gathered in a region,he explained from the perspective of the division of labor industry cluster.Which he mentioned that industrial agglomeration can promote the mutual learning and knowledge spillovers, but the early research on industrial agglomeration did not study the influence of geospatial on industrial agglomeration.Afterword,Thunen,Weber and other location economists analyzed the impact of geographical space on industrial agglomeration from the freight, distance and other aspects of the geographical space. The location school is also aware of the influence of technology on industrial agglomeration, but it doesn't analyze the influence of information technology on industrial agglomeration.Later,According to the DS model,Krugman and others analyze the causes and the process of agglomeration systematically by putting increasing returns, incomplete competition and trade costs into economic model.Nowadays more and more scholars use this approach, that is,putting the spatial factors into the general equilibrium analysis to study the industrial agglomeration, which means the rise of the new economic geography.New economic geography recognizes the significance of information technology to industrial agglomeration, and many scholars believe that factors such as information technology and transportation conditions determine the size of "transport costs(trade costs)" in the model. However, although the new economic geography has been putting the geographical cost of trade costs into a general equilibrium analysis, and it also aware of the information technology will affect the cost of trade, which having an impact on industrial agglomeration, but it didn't discuss the impact of information technology on industrial agglomeration mechanism. Thus some scholars put forward various concepts from the perspective of knowledge spillover, innovation and enterprise spatial organization to explain the impact of informationization on agglomeration, and discussed the new characteristics of industrial agglomeration in the information age. This dissertation combs three theoretical perspectives of industrial agglomeration and the debate on the industrial agglomeration is divided into three factions.Through the analysis of the theoretical mechanism and the derivation of the linear free entrepreneur model,it is concluded that the influence of informatization on industrial agglomeration exists the threshold effect of informationization. On this basis, this dissertation establish the measurement of informationization, using the 31-year panel data from 2005 to 2013 to establish a threshold panel metering model, through the empirical test method by threshold regression,to observe the impact of information technology on the direction and intensity of different industrial agglomeration in all the informationization stages. The empirical results show that the influence of informatization on industrial agglomeration has a significant double threshold effect. The level of information technology can promote the agglomeration of most industries at all stages, but the influence direction is due to industry and stage; The impact of information on the industrial agglomeration of the secondary industry and the tertiary industry is more significant than that of the control variables. In addition, the influence of the information on the industrial agglomeration of the secondary industry and the tertiary industry is more significant than that of the control variables.Information technology can significantly affect the industrial agglomeration.Overall With the improvement of information technology, the role of informatization in industrial agglomeration is gradually reduced, and the inhibition of industrial agglomeration gradually increased. The level of informatization has a highest inhibitory effect on the primary industry, and a lowest inhibitory effect on the secondary industry. The high level of informatization means the high driving force of the financial industry agglomeration.
