A Study On The Export Competitiveness Of Cambodian Rice

In Cambodia,agriculture is the first pillar industry.Rice promotes the development of agriculture;rice plays an important role in international market.According to the U.S.Department of agriculture statistics,in 2015,India exports 11.046 million tons of rice in the world in 2015,and Cambodian rice exports increased from 12613 tons to 538396 total tons from 2009 to 2015.Cambodian rice exports increased more than 42 times;however,compared with rice exporting countries,there is still a huge gap.We recognize the current Cambodian rice export potential,therefore,so to improve the export competitiveness of Cambodian rice is imminent.At present,there are many problems in Cambodian rice exports,such as poor infrastructure,weak agricultural base and agricultural personnel quality is not high,so the analysis of international trade and economics knowledge will help to analyze Cambodian rice export situation and make theoretical support for the feasibility of the proposed recommendation to the problems.This paper first analyzes the status quo of Cambodian rice exports,mainly from the scale,type and market share analysis and so on.At the same time,also focus on the analysis of the problems,then select the international competitiveness and trade competitiveness method and reveal comparative advantage theory.The three indicators will help in analyzing the international competitiveness of the export of rice in Cambodia and the key impacts.
