A Study On The Impact Of Trade Facilitation On The Ternary Margin Of Service Export

Trade facilitation is an important international issue under the WTO framework.Based on port efficiency,customs environment,institutional environment and e-commerce development,trade facilitation has had an important impact on the export trade structure.In recent years,the study of the impact of trade facilitation on export trade has received widely attention from academia.However,in the existing research,the main focus is the impact of trade facilitation on the total trade volume.From the perspective of trade structure,the impact of trade facilitation on the ternary margin of export trade is less,and most of the research is more concerned with its effect on trade in goods.The impact of trade facilitation on the ternary margin of exports of services is also rare.Based on the new-new trade theory,this paper analyzes the influence of trade facilitation on the ternary margin of services export by using the empirical research,the trade of service is decomposed into extensive margin,price margin and quantity margin from the national level.In this paper,the research content is divided into the following six parts:The first chapter is the introduction part,introduces the research background,the research content,the method and the frame,has laid the full text frame structure and the research mentality;The second chapter summarizes the research results of the predecessors from two aspects:domestic and foreign research present situation and the progress,and make a brief comment;The third chapter uses the relevant theory to illustrate the mechanism of the trade facilitation effect on the export of service;The fourth chapter introduces the present situation of the world trade facilitation and the world service export and the present situation of our services.Chapter 5 first selects the top 50 countries for services export in 2015,respectively,to measure the index of trade facilitation and the ternary margin of service export of the 50 countries,then uses the method of econometric analysis to obtain the impact of trade facilitation on the ternary margin of service export.The sixth chapter summarizes the main research conclusion of this article,some relevant policies and suggestions are put forward.In the empirical research section,this paper uses the panel data of 50 countries in 2009-2015 to decompose the service export into extensive margin,price margin and quantity margin as the explained variables,the index of trade facilitation as the key variable,add in population,level of education,the level of urbanization and the gross domestic product(GDP)of four control variables,by regression analysis.The regression results show that trade facilitation has a significant positive effect on the extensive margin,price margin and quantity margin of service export,and the positive impact on the quantity margin is greater than the marginal price and the extensive margin.In the return of the sample,it is proved that both the developed countries and the developing countries improve the level of trade facilitation has a promoting effect to the extensive margin,price margin,and the quantity margin.In general,countries around the world,regardless of whether the economy is developed,raising the level of trade facilitation will help increase the export volume of services,but also conducive to the optimization and upgrading of the export structure.Based on the research conclusion of this article,the author put forward the following suggestions:countries should begin from the port efficiency,customs environment,institutional environment,electronic commerce etc to improve its infrastructure and enhancing the level of trade facilitation;Deepen the trade facilitation of international cooperation,countries should jointly promote the negotiation process of trade facilitation,create good development environment for international trade in services;For our country,should also actively participate in international organizations on issues of trade facilitation,learn the developed countries' new technology,improve the institutional system and enhance the level of trade facilitation in our country,promote the development of service exports in the direction of high quality.
