An Empirical Study On The Evolution Of Industry Structure In Gansu Province Based On Complex Network Theory

The industrial structure is an essential element in the development of the economic system,and the research of industry structure is an internal requirement to analyze the economic development of a country or region.Reasonable industrial structure is the key to promoting economic health,stability,sustained and coordinated development.Looking at the evolution of industrial structure in Gansu province,it can be found that it has its own unique characteristics under the influence of national strategic deployment.By analyzing the characteristics and evolution mechanism of industrial structure of Gansu province,to find out the problems existing in the evolution of that,has the vital significance to the rationalization of industrial structure upgrade.Complex network theory has been used to study the status and role of each industry department in complex industry system network,and thus from a more micro level to analyze the evolution of the industrial structure of Gansu province,that has important practical significance.There are many different methods about industrial structure research are based on input-output table,there research is not identical but with some problems.In this paper,the complex networks theory is introduced into the research of industrial structure,to avoid the limitations of using other methods.First of all,by the contact of input and output value to build a directed weighted network its nodes are the industrial sector;Secondly,according to the characteristics of the complex network,I can calculate the statistical properties of the industrial structure network,including: degree and degree distribution,weight and weight distribution and clustering coefficient;Finally,combined with the interpretation of social network to explain the calculated characteristic value as: the evolution of the industrial sector,the evolution of the industrial connection and the evolution of industrial subgroup,by giving the eigenvalues of the industrial structure network with certain economic significance and combined with the present situation of the industrial structure of Gansu province,combing theory with practice,this paper further analyzes the characteristics and trends of industrial structure evolution of Gansu Province.The change of industrial structure in Gansu province has periodic characteristics and has the same direction with our country,but the speed is lag behind the average level of our country.At the present stage,the connection between the industrial sector of Gansu province is more and more closely,however,the status of each sector in the industrial structure is becoming more and more unequal,especially between the second and third industry departments.From the results that there have a little change between the second industry and tertiary industry accounted for gross domestic product,but the importance of the internalindustry sector in a particular industry has changed a lot,especially some of the basic public services in the service sector is less important than the knowledge-based services.
