With the acceleration of economic globalization,the competition among enterprises is becoming more and more serious.The enterprises have not only to face the external competitive market environment,but also to deal with the effective allocation of human resources.More and more managers have come to realize that the employees on the front-line have the insight into the exciting problems in the actual operation of the organization.Their advice often helps organizations to identify and solve problems.But in practice,many employees can find the exciting problems,they even know how to solve them,but when the organization asking for their advise,they tend to choose to be silence in order to maintain their position in the organization and the good relationship with others.The study of employee silence has drawn wide attention in the academic community,how to eliminate the negative effects of employee silence is becoming more and more important to the organization.As one of the "Dark Triad",narcissistic personality has the characteristics of self-centered,arrogant,sensitive and grandiose.Narcissistic leaders is the leader who has narcissistic personality,they lack empathy in the process of communication with subordinates,and impose their subordinates in pursuit of personal interests,and suppress the enthusiasm of employees for the purpose of competition.All of these behaviors may cause employees silence.Narcissistic leadership has the characteristics of arbitrariness,egoism,fraud motivation,knowledge inhibition,pretend to care and so on,they also require the subordinates to obey and reject the negative feedback.Therefore,narcissistic leadership may reduce the employee’s psychological security to make employees choose silence.Based on the review of narcissistic leadership,psychological security and employee silence,this study constructs a theoretical research model to explore the impact of narcissistic leadership on employee silence.First of all,this study reviewed the research on narcissistic leadership,psychological safety and employee silence.Secondly,this study used the questionnaire survey method.Finally,this study analyzed the survey data,and proved the following conclusions:narcissistic leadership has a significant positive correlation with employee silence;narcissistic leadership has a significant negative correlation with psychological security;psychological security has mediating effect between narcissistic leadership and employee silence.
