Research On Internet Enterprise Efficiency Based On DEA Method

After years of development,China's Internet has become an important part of the global development of the Internet.Internet penetrates into the overall economic and social fields,becomes a new platform and the transformative power of production and construction,economy and trade,science and technology,public services,cultural transmission,live entertainment and promotes the development of the information society.Due to active market of Internet content and services,many of the Internet companies participate in the industrial chain to Internet services.The rapid development of internet service industry,promotes the formation of a number of Internet companies.In the aspect of theory research,this paper studies on the definition of Internet companies and efficiency.Meanwhile,we conducted a literature review on domestic and foreign DEA method applied to efficiency evaluation of enterprises,industry and other aspects,to determine research ideas and research methods,and conduct a comprehensive analysis and research on efficiency of the Internet companies from both static and dynamic perspective and further factors affecting the efficiency of the Internet were discussed.In the aspect of empirical research,firstly,this paper uses the correlation analysis on the input and output indicators and the extracted index data is imported into the CCR and the BCC model to calculate static efficiency of China's 27 Internet companies,including technical efficiency,pure technical efficiency and scale efficiency.The study found:10 enterprises are in a state of technical efficiency,that is,they are pure technical efficiency and scale efficiency;13 enterprises are in a state of pure technical efficiency,including three companies technical inefficiency is due to scale inefficiency;there were 10 companies effective at the scale.Secondly,the static efficiency of Internet enterprise is analyzed,including different types of enterprise efficiency analysis,projection analysis,sensitivity analysis and classification of enterprise efficiency to make a conclusion:the Web cluster enterprises are in the high efficiency of the state,and travel class enterprises still in the low efficiency;The operation expenditure of input index and total revenue of output index have a important impact on efficiency of enterprises;KU6 has the highest super efficiency and the value is 4.258,far greater than other Internet companies;the Internet enterprises can be divided into 4 categories,namely the highest efficiency,higher efficiency,general efficiency and the most inefficiency.Then,the paper makes use of Malmquist productivity index to analyze China dynamic efficiency of 26 Internet enterprise from 2011 to 2013,and found:the average values of 26 enterprises' total factor productivity are greater than 1 from 2011 to 2012,2012 to 2013,indicating that productivity in 2012 makes progress than in 2011 and productivity in 2013 makes progress than in 2012,mainly due to technical innovation rather than technical efficiency change.Finally,TOBIT regression model is used to analyze the factors that have impact on efficiency of Internet companies,the results showed that:the site's operating level,company management level and firm size have a significant impact on efficiency,but the site operating level and company management level have a positive impact on efficiency while company's scale has a negative impact on efficiency.
