Research On Logistics Efficiency Evaluation Of Shanxi Province Based On Super Efficiency DEA

The logistics industry is a modern service industry that gradually integrates various functions such as transportation,storage,packaging,distribution processing,and information processing in the process of refinement and standardization of social division of labor.It plays an irreplaceable role in stimulating social production,stimulating household consumption and promoting economic growth.The efficiency of logistics has become a direct measure of the development status of the logistics industry in a country or a region,and it has also become a direct indicator for judging its economic growth.Shanxi Province once had sufficient coal resources,which led to the development of coal for many years.It caused a single industrial structure,the backward development of the logistics industry and the inefficiency of the logistics industry,which seriously restricted the rapid development of Shanxi's economy.Therefore,it is necessary to improve the lag of logistics development.To this end,the Shanxi Provincial Government has promulgated the “Implementation Opinions on Further Promoting Logistics Cost Reduction and Efficiency Promotion to Promote the Development of the Real Economy”.This paper focuses on the logistics efficiency and improvement of Shanxi Province and its 11 prefecture-level cities,aiming to promote logistics efficiency improvement,industrial structure optimization and economic transformation and upgrading in Shanxi Province.This thesis comprehensively uses theoretical methods such as logistics engineering,operations research,and systems science.Firstly,the six central provinces are studied,and the evaluation of the overall logistics efficiency in Shanxi Province is made.The results show that the overall logistics efficiency of Shanxi Province is low and the development level is backward.Then,based on this foundation,the logistics efficiency of 11 cities in Shanxi Province was studied from a deeper level.Finally,based on the previous research results,the Tobit regression model is established,and the impact degree of each factor affecting the logistics efficiency is calculated.The results show that the tertiary industry's total output value,civil vehicle ownership and R&D expenditure are the key factor to promote the improvement of logistics efficiency in 11 prefecture-level cities in Shanxi Province.
