Research On The Impact Of Technological Innovation On Industrial Transformation In Guangdong Province

Optimize the industrial structure and transform the way of economic growth are important characteristic when China's economy enters a development phase of the new normal.As a pioneer of reform and opening up,Guangdong province have achieved the economic take-off with the central policy's support.However,as the international industrial competition environment has become increasingly complex,Guangdong province is facing enormous pressure from transformation:economic development has benefit from exports and investment over a long period of time,the technological content of product is low,the phenomenon of industrial isomorphism,the problem of energy shortage and environmental pollution also pose challenges to the sustainable development of Guangdong province to some extent.At the same time,the implementation of the innovation-driven strategy has brought some hope to Guangdong province in the turning period.How to seize this opportunity and to achieve industrial transformation have become a serious problem.Therefore,study on the effect from scientific&technologic innovation to industrial transformation of Guangdong province has important theory value and practical significance.This paper consists of six parts:The first chapter is an introduction.This chapter introduces the background and significance of the topic,the research content and method of this article.Besides,the innovation and shortcomings of this paper are also discussed.The second chapter is literature review and the relative theory foundations,the part of literature review including technology innovation and industry transformation in their respective research fields,the relative theory foundations contain regional innovation system theory,the industrial structure theory and the advantage theory.The third chapter analyzes the mechanism that the process of industrial transformation drived by scientific&technologic innovation from the theoretical research perspective.Scientific&technologic innovation not only can promote industrial transformation directly through transforming traditional industries,changing industry associations and improving labor productivity of the industrial sector,but also can promote industrial transformation indirectly by influencing supply structure,changing demand structure and improving the way to the import and export trade.The fourth chapter demonstrates that scientific&technologic innovation is the key to solve the current problem of industrial structure of Guangdong province.After discussing about the current situation of the development of scientific&technologic innovation and the necessity of industrial transformation of Guangdong province,we make a objective evaluation to the role of the scientific&technologic innovation which promote industrial transformation of Guangdong province from three aspects of agriculture,industry and services,The fifth chapter analyzes the relationship between scientific&technologic innovation and industrial transformation of Guangdong province based on the perspective of empirical research.The results show that the level of scientific&technologic innovation and industrial transformation of Guangdong province present an increasing trend in general from 1995 to 2014.The time series analysis results show that and they have stable equilibrium relationship in the long-term and scientific&technologic innovation has a positive role in promoting industrial transformation of Guangdong province.The regression results of dynamic panel model show that scientific&technologic innovation output and some other elements such as FDI,PGDP jointly promote the process of industrial transformation of Guangdong province,and the promoting effect has a regional differences.The sixth chapter is conclusion and suggestion,we draw a conclusion based on the above analysis,and make relevant suggestions from two aspects of scientific&technologic innovation and industrial transformation.
