Investigation And Analysis On Rural Family Development Ability In Linxia State

Family as the most important basic unit of human life,it has a vital role in the development of the individual,social progress and even the prosperity of the country.In the context of China’s economic and social transformation,the internal and external environment faced by rural households has also undergone tremendous changes.Technological progress and the further opening of the market not only bring greater opportunities for development to the rural economy,but also bring a lot of uncertainty to the development of rural families.Based on the field investigation of the rural families in Linxia Hui Autonomous Prefecture,this paper studies the rural families in the survey area of Gansu Province after carefully compiling the relevant literature on family development.First,we conduct a simple descriptive statistical analysis to the status development of rural families in the survey area,so that we can obtain a preliminary understanding of this income levels,living conditions.Second,through the framework of sustainable livelihood analysis,the livelihoods of rural households are quantified to reflect the current development capacity of rural households in the survey area.After measuring the family development,we analysis how to enhance the family development capacity based on migrant workers,human capital perspective.Finally,we proposed the strategic proposal to promote the development of rural households.The main conclusions are as follows:First,the development capacity of rural households in the research area is generally not high,the reason for the backwardness of family development is the lack of livelihood capital,the family development capacity of orphans,living alone,single-parent families are the worst.Second,based on the family status is not high,a large number of rural families will be associated with their own capital position to choose to send family members to migrant workers,The family with more abundant of the human capital,social capital,material capital,and financial capital,the less of natural capital,are easier to make the decision to send out the migrant workers.On the contrary,go out of work can change the state of household capital,can improve the economic conditions of the family,and thus can promote the investment in human capital,social capital.Go out of work can promote the development of rural families and enhance the development capacity.Third,the accumulation of human capital will help to enhance the family development capacity,we can improve the overall quality of the labor force,increase the education and medical investment of family members,strengthen the skills training,so that promote the accumulation of human capital,and thus conducive to the sustainable development of the family.Based on the above conclusions,we put forward some suggestions on how to improve the family development capacity:First,we shouldraise the minimum living standard guaranteed for rural poor people.Second,broaden the channels for farmers to increase income and improve the economic conditions of rural households.Third,improve the cultural level and vocational skills of family members and promote human capital accumulation.Fourth,protection the legitimate rights and interests of migrant workers and enhance the family development capacity of migrant workers.
