| With the continuous advance of economic globalization and market economy has become increasingly mature in China,as a pillar industry of the national foundation,the development level and quality of the logistics industry has become an important indicator of economic strength and core competitiveness of the economy.As a big province in Central China,Hunan province has been developing rapidly in recent years,so that the logistics industry in Hunan province has been developing rapidly.In the whole country is facing the period of upgrading the industrial structure adjustment and transformation of “the economic new norma”l,the logistics industry in Hunan province ushered in a hitherto unknown development opportunity,as a central hub to undertake the north and the south,the east and the west,logistics market potential and development prospects immeasurable in Hunan province.Total factor productivity,usually used by the scholars to explore the source of economic growth,as an important means to evaluate the effect of economic growth and the level of quality,has provided an important basis for taking the road of sustainable development and formulating relevant policies for the country.This study is on the development of the logistics industry in Hunan Province in recent years,starting from the angle of total factor productivity,to find potential problems in the process of industrial development,develop solutions,push toward sustainable development is of great significance to the logistics industry in Hunan province.In this paper,the writer use Malmquist productivity index method based on Data Envelopment Analysis(D-M index)to calculate the TFP of Hunan province between 2004~2014 logistics changes,and to the number of productivity change index is decomposed into technical efficiency change index(TE)and technological progress index(TP),the results showed that: 2004~2014 from the Hunan Province logistics industry TFP grew by an average of 11.8%,the growth of most from the logistics technology progress;and the effective utilization of the resources of logistics problems,the logistics resources are not "used in best way" lead to reduced year by year logistics efficiency,thus indirectly hinders TFP the growth of the logistics industry in Hunan province.In addition,the total factor productivity of Hunan province and Zhejiang Province,30 provinces and cities nationwide average growth for a comparative analysis,found the total factor productivity of Hunan Province logistics industry fluctuated significantly more than Zhejiang province smoothly.In order to study the factors that influence the total factor productivity of Hunan Province logistics industry from the angle of technical efficiency,the author based on the panel data of 13 cities and prefectures in the province,and used SFA method to build the empirical model and empirical research.From the empirical results,the degree of information technology,human capital,foreign direct investment and the logistics efficiency of Hunan province has obvious positive correlation,while the government intervention has significant negative impact on the efficiency of the logistics technology.Among them,with 1% increase of the regional informatization degree in Hunan Province,logistics technical efficiency has increased 0.0009%,this mainly through the construction of informatization effective integration of logistics resources and to provide information and technical services to realize the logistics industry to enhance the TFP logistics information platform;increase the quality of human capital in 1%,logistics efficiency increases by 1.38%,raising the logistics staff professional logistics service quality and the standard of elevating the level of human capital could help to enhance the TFP of logistics industry;with 1% increase of the utilization of foreign investment,21.78% increase in TE of logistics technology has happened,the promotion effect is obvious from the data,because of foreign direct investment to enhance the opening degree of the area,which has brought foreign advanced technology and management experience for the industry in order to enhance the development of TFP of logistics industry in Hunan province;each additional 1% degree of government intervention,the logistics industry in Hunan Province TE decreased by about 16.45%,because the excessive intervention by the government reduced the level of logistics market activity.At the same time,the existing logistics management system,such as fragmentation,also restricted the effective operation of the logistics industry in Hunan province. |
