| Urbanization is an important symbol of the level of economic and social of region and an inevitable trend of human social.Urbanization plays an important role in stimulating economic growth,increasing employment and improving the living standards of residents.In addition to the above role,the town is conducive to ease the pressure on the population into the city,while helping to solve the three rural issues,narrowing the differences between urban and rural areas.Based on the review of the development process and impetus of the rapid urbanization in Jiangsu Province,we select 49 towns as our case.9 indexes are selected that related to population,economy,society and geography.We measure the level of urbanization in Jiangsu Province by the method of mean square deviation weighting method and linear weighted sum.Then,we analyze the characteristics of the spatial pattern.By the GWR we explore the evolution of the force that promote urbanization.(1)Based on the principle of comprehensive,complete and scientific,we select evaluation index of urbanization level,reflecting the urbanization characteristics of population,economy,and society and land evolution.The comprehensive urbanization level of county can reflect the quality of urbanization development of basic unit more comprehensive,more detailed,more directly.Facing a decline in the rural areas,the large town overstaffed,this study is helpful to provide help for the development of small towns.(2)Using the mean square error method and the linear weighted sum method,we comprehensive measures county urbanization level of Jiangsu province,the results showed that comprehensive urbanization level fluctuations in Jiangsu province increase from 2000 to 2011,Although there are great regional differences in South of Jiangsu,Northern Jiangsu and Jiangsu,but the difference is in the direction of narrowing.(3)By the spatial autocorrelation,the level of urbanization of the country in Jiangsu Province shows significant heterogeneity and clustering in the space.The area of high level of urbanization is southern Jiangsu and keeps stable.The counties in the northwest and the eastern coast of Jiangsu are the region of low level.The region of low level is not stable.Different regions that we always call "Sunan,Subei and Suzhong" have different performance.In Sunan region,the county level of urbanization is heterogeneous.The area located in the east shore of Lake Tai becomes an advantage region of Sunan area.The counties in Subei and Suzhong area do not show difference obviously,which means these regions are short of growth pole.(4)We can get the ratios of different factor in different counties by GWR.Then we conclude several points as followed:Administrative factors are the main driving force of the urbanization in Jiangsu counties,but it shows a downward trend while it is still important.The power of market shows different feature in different counties.The role of market in the process of urbanization has the tendency to strengthen.The contribution of force form domestic economy to urbanization promote continuously.The role of export-oriented economy increased firstly then decreased,becoming weak.The dynamic trend of urbanization in Jiangsu counties is diversified and balanced.(5)In order to promote the level of urbanization in Jiangsu counties,we put forward several suggestions from two aspects:the whole and regional.Firstly,people should pay more attention to the need of human rather than the output of industry.Second,let market regulate the economy and resource.Third,the government should focuses on social security,poverty alleviation,cultural construction,environmental protection and so on.according to the development situation of the three major areas,we put forward a of advices such as innovating technology,encouraging entrepreneurship,raising growth pole,exploring industry that own regional characteristic. |
