| In recent years, with the ups and downs of our national economy, the competition among enterprises becomes intensified. Enterprises management is facing great challenge, due to the tremendous changes of inter-enterprise competition environment. The management philosophy of enterprisers is also taking transition. More and more companies have adopted the advanced ERP(Enterprise Resource Planning) system in information management and achieved good results in practice.In this paper, the managers of GK Design Institute(GKDI) face challenges coming from fierce market situation. By strengthening confidence and emphasizing the sense of crisis and competition, they actively respond to the market change, scientifically plan institute’s development direction. Based on current development strategies, market positioning and operation target, the management decide to deploy ERP management information system. By expanding own advantages, the institute gains dynamic balance between in internal and external resources and finally is guaranteed of survival and sustainable development.This paper contains five chapters. The first section presents the research background and determines the purpose and significance of this research. The second section elaborates the theory of information system strategy planning and ERP system. The third chapter conducts an analysis of internal/external environment factor of GKDI by using the Value Chain model, which shows the critical problems GKDI facing and the institute’s strengths and weakness. It also describes current strategy plan and countermeasure taken by GKDI, based on the analysis result. In the fourth section, author introduces the system planning of ERP system in GKDI, based on its own management characteristic. In the last chapter, author analyzes the assurance of ERP system deployment in GKDI. This paper also serves as theoretical support for information system build-up and optimization in the industry of building design, through the planning and research result in GKDI ERP system deployment. |
