Design And Implementation Of Direct Banking System For Commercial Bank

With the development of interest rate liberalization,Chinese-funded commercial banks,which are dominated by deposit and loan business,have encountered their profit shrinkage.Meanwhile,the development of city commercial banks have been restricted by territoriality.As a result,regional commercial banks have chosen a new business profit model-direct bank.Direct bank uses Internet as the medium of financial services,provides financial products and services through an electronic way.It completely breaks away from counter-based traditional financial service model and provides a new Internet banking system.With lower cost,higher efficiency,convenience,and the fact that it is free from time and space constraints,direct banking model has become an important area that many commercial banks compete on.Since direct bank has been introduced to China for only a short period of time,domestic discussions over it are limited to bank products and banking businesses rather than researches on IT constructions such as system designing or platform building.Based on the business needs of the commercial bank C,we designed a direct banking system.In this article,we elaborated on design of network topology,overall architecture,database relationship,message system,and security scheme in direct banking system,especially the database design and the message system.Direct banking system reuses bank's existing firewall,network,server,storage and other hardware,based on KL's PowerEngine platform,direct banking system takes full advantage of its dependency injection,responsibility chain and template methods.OSGi framework,Oracle database and Web Sphere application server are used in system development.According to the business feature that based on the electronic account,we designed 11 functional modules: login in foreground system,my account,financial products,DIY loan,settings,login in background system,system management,electronic account management,financial product management,DIY loan management,electronic report,and review.We also finished a database design,which was based on the business data relationship,and designed a report system with loose coupling and high scalability.In the specific development process,we used PE platform's dependency injection,responsibility chain,and template method to achieve implementation of each function.We have achieved rapid development,and gave the platform higher functional scalability.Now C Bank's direct banking platform has been successfully operated online.We have improved C bank's regional flexibility and other issues,reduced its operational costs,expanded its size of business,increased the amount of customers,improved customers' experiences and profits,and promoted its management efficiency.C bank has achieved its remarkable economic results under this system.
