China is a big producer and consumer of sugar,cane sugar is the main body of consumption and the necessity of daily life.In recent years,more and more attention are paid to the development of sugar industry at home and abroad.Due to the restriction of agricultural resources and the influence on transferring of agricultural labor force,the production costs is rising high while the comparative benefit is low in our country.China is also facing the double impact of decline on sugar price and blind import of large amount of quota sugars.As the second largest province on sugarcane planting,Yunnan province has the unique superiority on "two resources and two markets",and the cane sugar industry is the pillar industry which can drive the development of local ethnic economy,get rid of poverty and become prosperous.The sugar industry policy has important influence on industrial development.Therefore,study the sugar industrial policy is necessary and significant.This paper firstly introduce the related concept and theoretical research on sugar industry policy in our country,secondly,make a concrete analysis of the current situation of sugar industry policy development in Yunnan province,mainly including three aspects: market regulation and control policy,industrial support policy of the sugar industry,the social service of science and technology policy.Those policies increase the income of farmers,provide the scientific support and guarantee,have formed a relatively complete industrial system.But there are still some shortcomings and problems,this paper points out these deficiencies and lastly put forward the corresponding countermeasures and suggestions,and promote the development of sugar industry in Yunnan province.
