A Measure Of The Contribution Of Intellectual Property Rights In Jiangsu Province To The Transformation Of Economic Growth Patterns

Innovation has become the key to enhance the competitiveness of the country.Intellectual property is an important factor to protect innovation and promote innovation.Increasing importance of intellectual property rights has become the key to adjust economic restructure and break through the bottleneck of economic growth.The economic level and the level of intellectual property rights of Jiangsu province are in the forefront of the country.However,due to the current economic growth is still more dependent on capital investment,the economic structure needs to be further improved.Jiangsu province is currently accelerating the construction of intellectual property rights.Improving the benefit of intellectual property rights,promoting the contribution of intellectual property rights to economic growth and reducing the dependence of the economy on the input of factors will help to promote the optimization and upgrading of the economic growth mode.The research on the influence of intellectual property on the transformation of economic growth mode and the measurement of the influence degree is of great significance to the future economic development strategy of Jiangsu province.Starting with the related theory of intellectual property rights and transformation of economic growth mode,this paper summarizes the research status of domestic and foreign relevant aspects,discusses the relationship between intellectual property rights and transformation of economic growth mode,describes the way of intellectual property rights to influence the economic growth mode.Based on the qualitative analysis,this paper makes a descriptive statistical analysis on the current situation of intellectual property rights and economic growth in Jiangsu Province for finding out the advantages and disadvantages of Jiangsu province.Based on the panel data of prefecture level cities in Jiangsu province in 2007-2015,static panel model and dynamic panel model are used to calculate the elastic coefficient of intellectual property rights to the transformation of economic growth mode then to calculate the contribution of intellectual property rights to the transformation of economic growth mode in Jiangsu province.The level of intellectual property rights is measured by indicators related with patents.And the transformation of economic growth mode is measured by total factor productivity.The urbanization rate,the dependence on foreign trade,the industrial structure and the investment in science and technology as four control variables are joined in the model.According to the analysis and the measured contribution,some countermeasures and suggestions on promoting the transformation of economic growth mode in Jiangsu province are put forward.The results show that: the intellectual property output of Jiangsu Province shows an increasing trend in the overall,the level of intellectual property rights is in the leading position;the total economy is in the forefront of the country,economic growth gradually slowed;TFP increase year by year,improve the economic efficiency of the input and output of intellectual property;the contribution to transform the economic growth mode is higher as 24%.At the same time,there are still some problems in the development of intellectual property rights and economic growth in Jiangsu province.The invention patent proportion is still low,innovative intellectual property creation ability needs to be improved;there are differences between the north and South Regional Development of intellectual property and economy;the growth rate of total factor productivity has fluctuated and slowed down,and the kinetic energy to promote the transformation of economic growth mode is facing a declining crisis.In the future,Jiangsu should increase the proportion of invention patent licensing,speed up the transformation of scientific and technological achievements,optimize the allocation of resources,balance the level of regional intellectual property rights,enhance the contribution of intellectual property rights,and promote the transformation of economic growth mode.
