An Empirical Study On The Factors Influencing The Consumption Of Residents In Guizhou Province

Investment, exports and consumption are the troika of driving economic growth,however, China's consumption levels is not optimistic in recent years. Insufficient domestic demand, the consumption level of residents grow slowly, restrict the development of Chinese economic. Guizhou, as a province of China relatively backward,the consumption and economic development level is less than the national average, so it becomes more and more important to expand consumer. For this reason, this paper uses the correlative theories of macroeconomics, mathematical statistics established econometric models, research to residents of Guizhou Province consumption and it's influence factors, researched it's the consumption level and change trend, find out the main factors of influencing the residential consumption and their correlations, and put forwards corresponding countermeasure.Based on the theory of western economics, using the method of mathematical statistics, we study the consumption characteristics and it's influencing factors of Guizhou Province. Firstly, we use consumer theory to analyze overall consumption of Guizhou Province in the current situation, and compared the consumption levels of Guizhou Province with the national average level and the western region of China.It shows that the consumption level of residents in Guizhou Province is continuously improved on the whole,but it is much lower than the national average, and also ranked reciprocal in the western region. Then, this paper makes cluster analysis of panel data through extract data from per capita consumption and per capita income of urban residents in 9 cities(states) from year 2000 to year 2013, it shows that the cluster result of per capita consumption and per capita income are basically the same,the income gap is relatively large between cities(States) and cities(States). Finally, this paper take the factors of income, urban-rural gap and public expenditure as main factors affecting the consumption, we use panel data to establish the panel data to analysis it in 9 cities(states) from year 2000 to year 2013,it show that Guiyang's consumption level and living standards are in the forefront ofGuizhou Province, but the Bijie and Tongren are on the back. Income levels and consumption habits are significant to resident consumption of all cities(states), But it has different effects to different cities(states). Urban-rural gap act as a disincentive to most cities(states). Fiscal expenditure act as a stimulus to all cities(states).The contributions of this paper are mainly reflected in the following areas: Frist, we introduce panel data model to the consumption model of Guizhou Province, a panel data model of the cities(states) was established. Second, we analysis the consumption situation of Guizhou Province, the trend of consumption change of Guizhou Province and economy differences between different districts are highlighted. Third, this paper analysis the factors of consumption, we carry out theoretical and empirical analysis from two aspects of economic factors and social factors. Fourth, we combined consumption theory with panel data model according to the knowledge of economics, put forward countermeasure for the the improving of resident consumption of Guizhou Province.
