With the rapid development of our national economy,the standards of living have been improved greatly in recent years.The automobile becomes the people indispensable riding instead of walking tool.The increasing demand for automobiles provides a substantial market and a favorable market environment for automobile parts industry.At the same time,it also attracts a large number of foreign-funded enterprises,and the competition among automobile parts enterprises becomes fierce.How to improve the competitiveness of enterprises has become the key problem which could affect the subsistence and development ofautomobile parts enterprises.In addition to strengthening technology research,the optimization of production management mode is equally important.Therefore,the production management model has become the focus of many scholars.This paper takes A company as an example to study the implementation of Lean Six Sigma.Firstly,this thesis reviewed researches on related issues done by experts and scholars home and abroad,introduces the nucleus and contentsof Lean Production and Six Sigma.According to current research on Lean Production and Six Sigma,the connotation and implementation process of Lean Six Sigma are pointed out.Secondly,the present development situation ofautomobile parts industry and A Company are analyzed by some data,anddiscusses the necessity of applying Lean Six Sigma to A Company.It identifies the necessity of implementingLean Six Sigmabased on the current situation of production system management in A Company.Thirdly,the whole project is administrated by Lean Six Sigma DMAIC procedures.Analysis of customer voice and requirements,determine the content of Lean Six Sigma project to improvetheproduction efficiency and reduce scrap rateof clutch cover assembly line.By using the methods of Value Stream Analysis,Process Analysis,Line Balanceand Failure Mode and Effects Analysis to find out the root cause of improvement.Optimize the production system with Lean Production tools such asProgram Analysis,Operation Analysis,SMED,mixed pull system and so on.Finally,Flexsim software was used to simulate the clutch cover assembly line before and after improvement.The simulation results show that the production efficiency is improved obviously.The possibility of bad products is reduced.This proves that the improvement program is effective.It is expected that this paper will provide reference and reference for the implementation of Lean Six Sigma for automobile parts enterprises.
