Research On The Selection Of Qian An County Farmers Corn Seed

Corn is one of the most important economic crops in Qianan county and even in Jilin Province.The selection of corn seed is an essential factor for corn yield especially hoping for high-yield.The farmers would meet some problems when selecting corn seeds,through surveying and collecting materials,finding root causes and solving problems,providing references for agriculture service departments and government.400 pieces of questionnaires were giving out in Changzi village,Xiazi village,Tuizi village and Cizi village of Qianan county,using literature survey,interview method and statistical description method,clearing up the situation of corn cropping and seed selecting in these villages,analyzing the current situation of corn cropping,farmers selecting new seeds and the problems in the process of selecting seeds.The conclusion of the study shows that there are some problems in Qian’an County farmers in the process of selection of maize,mainly in the following aspects: First,due to the lack of understanding of their own land farmers,farmers choose the seeds of corn and soil does not match.Second the existence of the presence of exaggerated advertising and professional knowledge of the lack of seed sales staff,resulting in the quality of the seeds and propaganda does not meet.Third due to the farmers in the selection of the existence of blind obedience,leading farmers to follow the trend of serious problem.In view of the above problems and reasons,this paper puts forward the following suggestions from two aspects: First of all,the government should increase policy support,and regularly carry out agricultural knowledge training,and vigorously promote the education of farmers information,increase seed management filing work,strengthen quality control,and establish a variety of exit mechanism.Secondly,dealers will start from their own level,strengthen the training of inspectors,improve seed marketing personnel quality,strengthen the continuing education of new varieties,held on site,and strengthen exchanges between peers,strengthen seed sales personnel occupation moral education and legal education.Only by strengthening the supervision of the government,the legitimate operation of dealers,farmers to enhance their awareness of safeguarding their own rights and interests,improve the level of agricultural knowledge,in order to better guide the farmers more channels,more scientific choice of corn,corn production.
