Railway plays an im portant role in th e revitalization of Northeast China' s economic development,the railway bears most of the passenger transport volume in a long time.Related scholars have conducte d a lot of research on railw ay passenger transport.However,there have a little r esearch from the perspec tive of orderly competition in v arious modes of tr ansport,and the existing railway passenger transport organization and management system hasn't adapted to the passenger traffic marketing under the economy.Over the year s,the implementation of the railway is unified management,the transport organization system of centralizing command.It is not conducive for the m arket development and product positioning of railway products.With the continuous developm ent of various types of passenger transport,especially the highway and air transp ort,the passenger transport market in Northeast China is becoming more and more competitive.However,it is not only influenced by the old business concept to carry out th e passenger traf fic marketing,but also influenced by the railway transp ortation organization management system and operation mechanism which formed in the period of the planned economy.It makes some problems gradually exposed in the fledgling marketing work.This article based on the railway passenger transportation market in the northeast area,aimed at how to carry out the ra ilway passenger transportation marketing problems,conduct comprehensive analysis,and develop m arket economy under the conditions of the marketing strategy,through increased marketing efforts to improve market competitiveness.And carried on the investigation to the nor theast,such as passenger traffic volume,turnover volume,market price of a ticket,passenger number,product structure and the aver age transport distance,and carried out comprehensive analysis,realized the s egmentation of passenger transportation m arket,clear the market target,and combined the appropriate marketing strategies,so as to establish the marketing strategy of the railway passe nger transportation in Northeast China,and puts forward som e suggestions.In orde r to provide theoretical basis for the railway to realize "stabiliz ing the basic m arket,fighting the dynam ic market,and constantly open up new market".
