Product Service System(PSS)has become the inevitable trend of the manufacturing industry transformation,upgrading and the integrative development of the secondary and third industry in the nowadays service economy dominated society.As a policies driven green business pattern,sharing economy develops vigorously during recent years.Meanwhile,research on function oriented PSS can provide stronger power for sharing economy.How to catch customer requirements,achieving the effective configuration and delivering of PSS,has become a universal concerned and core problem of sharing economy market segment.The essential of the PSS configuration is to provide what product and service portfolio so as to satisfy customer requirements to the maximum extent and maximize customer delivered value.Towards service economy and sharing economy,customer requirements extraction and configuration of function oriented PSS method is explored in this research in order to provide guidance for industry practices.Firstly,related studies,the concept and categorization of PSS,Kansei Engineering(KE),and Quality Function Deployment(QFD)were introduced.Secondly,the method of function oriented PSS requirements extraction and analysis was built by extending KE,including employing the semantic differential method to design questionnaire and employing statistical method to analyze data.Then,the configuration model and procedure of function oriented PSS was constructed by integrated the analysis outcome of extended KE method into QFD,in which the PSS House of Quality(HOQ)was built to deploy customer requirements and engineering measures,to build the relationship among them,to estimate the competence of the PSSs in the market,and to get the referential solution of PSS.Till now,a comprehensive method of function oriented PSS configuration was established as the integration of KE extension and QFD.Finally,the method was verified by an instance of sharing bike.Results of this research show that the method is effective and feasible,can solve the PSS configuration problem,can be used by corporations to optimize their PSS configuration to improve their customer satisfaction and competitive advantage.
