Research On Theory And Application Of IPD Delivery Mode

Construction industry,a pillar industry of China's national economy,occupies an important position in the economic development.However,for a long time,compared with other industries,the construction industry which is big but improper has some characteristics like a backward organization way,a weak core competitiveness of enterprises,and a low productivity.All mentioned above restrict the development of the construction industry.In recent years,along with the BIM technology and lean construction technology's continuous development,the technical level of the construction industry continues to improve,which provides a good way to reduce waste and improve efficiency for the construction industry,At the same time,the traditional way of delivery is not able to take the good advantages of the technologies.IPD(Integrated Project Delivery)makes a creative reform on the traditional way of delivery,based on a trust cooperation to promote win-win situation,which will be a new direction for the development of the construction industry.Under this background,this paper first discusses the definition,process,the status quo and characteristics of Project Delivery and the IPD delivery mode to analyze the necessity of IPD delivery mode,basing on the transaction cost theory and stakeholder theory.Then from the implementation of the IPD project,this paper focuses on the analysis of the various stages of the IPD delivery mode.basing on the foreign successful cases,to summary the four positive factors of the implementation in the process of IPD project,including the target determine,organization management,contract management,applications of technologies.Meanwhile,this paper tries to make an intensive study on the organization of an IPD team and the problems in the application of the contract.At last,based on the implementation processes,this paper establishes an evaluation system of IPD project implementation effect to estimate IPD projects from the aspects of the project results and processes.The focus of this paper is discussing the implementation of IPD delivery mode,to provide useful references for its application in our country,and give the overall framework and some specific methods for the implementation of the IPD delivery mode.The end of this paper discusses obstacles of the application of IPD delivery mode on the current as well as puts forward some corresponding suggestions.On one hand,the IPD delivery mode has animportant value to upgrade the construction industry because of the advanced concepts of its integration,cooperation,and lean characteristics.On the other hand,we should fully consider the situation of our nation in the application of the IPD delivery mode so as to improve the existing problems in the construction projects gradually,by using the concept of the IPD to the traditional mode.
