The high Chinese GDP growth in 21 century is impressed for the people all of the world.Per capital disposable income increased quickly,accordingly more and more vehicle manufacturer joined the auto market competition.Passenger car is owned by more and more families.The auto sales volume shows strong and stable increase,China becomes one of the top auto consumers.Meanwhile,the competitions in auto market become more and more white hot.Auto is a kind of special consumer goods which require cost optimization based on quality and safety,so how to be more competitive becomes more and more challenge.This is especially critical for the products which without technique or patent threshold.The competence of product leads to market share directly,and it will affect the future of company.This paper investigates the product competence of sunroof controller in BOSCH Changsha,and designs the corresponding competence improvement strategy.How to improve product competence is a systematic project,requires both scientifically analyzing and thinking in smart way.Scientific analyzing requires for objective analysis which is based on right theory,then figure out the root causes of problems and even new chance,finally define the action plan.Thinking in smart way means we must understand the specific situations for different companies and products in different period and circumstance,and there is no common mode or solution to copy,also need to define priority for problems and actions.This paper briefly introduces the company,product,and then studies the competence status of sunroof controller based on the facts.In analysis chapters,this paper analyzes the product competence from both outside and inside facts,e.g.automotive industry forecast,competition status,product strategy,cost,organization,customer relationship and process.Based on analysis,then figure out the problems and causes accordingly.Based on the problems and causes,this paper designs the strategy for sunroof controller product competence.The strategy focuses on four main categories which include product orientation and development strategy,target market and customer strategy,cost controlling and continuous management,development process optimization and more efficient decision making.To ensure the strategies could be executed efficiently and achieve desired effect,the measures for guarantee are defined.In last,this paper forecasts the possible difficulties which may meet and expected result after execution.Research results of this paper are to improve the product competence of BOSCH sunroof controller,to benefit the company to gain more market share and profit,to fight for dominant position in future.Meanwhile this will be a trial of change in the area of management,process and mindset.The market is changing towards its direction all the time,thus the product competence cannot be improved without active changing.
