Port is an important transport infrastructure, which can provide support for national economic development and the development of foreign trade.Since reform and opening up,the coastal ports have a leapfrog development in our country, however due to the high expectations, and lack of coordination between the ports, many problems was exposed, such as excess capacity, increased competition, inefficient allocation of resources, the enterprise benefit reduced and so on.Port Regionalization strategy is the most effective way to solve those problem.Port has a spillover effect,in the process of regionalization, still need to explore and analyze whether there is spatial correlation, and the effect how to act on the development of port. Therefore, based on the data of 41 coastal ports in China as samples,we used exploratory spatial data analysis(ESDA)and spatial measuring method to research the spillover effects between ports.Using Moran's I,Lisa, the Gini coefficient and Spatial Gini coefficient to analyze the global space of the port freight, local spatial correlation and spatial distribution of balance. To build spatial econometric model,we established port node value based on accessibility, port place value based on AHP method, spatial lag factors, and economic factors of port hinterland four kinds elements.Through the contrast between the spatial lag model and spatial error model,we found the drive mechanism of port cargo demand growth under the condition of the containing space elements. And finally,we put forward relevant Suggestions. Results show that the ports freight has significant spatial correlation.and increasing year by year. However, most of the ports are still in its infancy.Port freight distribution difference is significant, but in the aspect of space, the distribution is more uniform. The lag coefficient of spatial lag model and spatial error model both are positive, that means the spatial correlation has a promoting effect on the development of the port. And the regression based on spatial error model is more significant. In addition, the place value of port and imports and exports of hinterland can also promote the development of the port.In the process of port regionalization,we should make good use of positive spatial correlation effect,to promote the coordinated development of the port.
