The Analysis Of Spatial Spillover-effects In Regional Tourism Economic

There are many reasons for the rapid growth of the tourism economy. In addition to some intrinsic elements, such as fixed capital investment, knowledge and technological progress, human capital and natural resource endowments, the rapid growth of the tourism economy is significantly affected by the surrounding area. In the research of growth factors of tourism economy, we also need to focus on interrelated effects among different regions, which mean spillover effects generated in inter-regional tourism economy.On the basis of related research, this paper reviews the research of domestic and international spillover effects and tourism economy. From a theoretical and empirical point of view, the paper combines with the spatial correlation among regions and introduces the space factor construct spatial econometric models.Firstly, the paper gives a quantitative analysis of spillover effects in regional tourism economic growth process with an overall perspective , and then in combination with specific characteristics of tourism itself, the paper continues to explore the mutual influence, characteristics and the interaction strength between growth region and other tourism economic growth region. We will take Sichuan Province as the research object to define its current characteristics of the spatial structure of the tourism economy and to give an empirical analysis of the spillover effects of tourism economy in Sichuan Province. Space samples used in this study is form the tourism industry in 21 cities (state) in Sichuan Province. Tourism industry data and price index in 2006-2012 is from the "2012 Sichuan Tourism Statistics Fact Sheet ", "2013 Sichuan Tourism Statistics Fact Sheet " and "Sichuan Provincial statistical Yearbook."The paper will analyzes and concludes spillover effects of regional tourism economic space from the following aspects.First, the paper will study the spatial distribution of the regional tourism industry. Through the analysis of recent tourism economy development in 21 cities of Sichuan province, we can use space quartile figure to have a preliminary observation of regional tourism development pattern and characteristics, which can help us to conclude that the tourism economy in Sichuan Province actually has a unipolar economic development support feature. Chengdu city and surrounding areas is the growth pole region with a very dominant position, and tourism economic in northeastern region develops slowly with a low level of development parks.Second, the paper will give correlation verification of the regional tourism economy spatial. It introduces the space weight matrix, and uses Moran'I Index to inspect the spatial correlation of Sichuan Tourism economic development from the global and local perspectives, which not only can distinguish the whole correlation of tourism industry in Sichuan Province, but also can inspect the spatial correlation between regions from the local perspective and observe the effects of geospatial space on regional tourism economic development. The research shows that the economic development of tourism hot spots in Sichuan Province always concentrates in Chengdu, Ya'an City and other directly adjacent regions. The other regions have a more gentle level of development, even far from the growth pole region.Third, the paper will measure space spillover effects in the regional tourism economy. We will incorporate spatial correlation factors into consideration when establishing spatial econometric model to examine the effects of a regional tourism economy.Form empirical studies, the research of measurement of space spillover effect through introduction of the space factor always uses spatial lag model and spatial error model which is form the classical spatial econometrics, and then through significant test setting for these two models to determine its impact mechanisms. In fact, through observing these two models setting mechanism,we can find that spatial lag model refers to all the explanatory variables of a region' s economic growth will affect other areas through the space transmission mechanism, which is space spillover effect measure model derived from external demand. Spatial error model assumes that random fluctuations in the adjacent area will have a significant impact on the regional economic growth process.Therefore, when this paper defines the way of space spillover effect, we will consider tourism economy transmission among adjacent area and tourism economy random fluctuations transmission mechanism among adjacent area. Then, we use spatial lag model and spatial error model respectively to measure it and using the most reasonable model to analyze the regional tourism economy spillover effect by the relevant tests, so we can have a clear and rational understanding of the interact mechanisms of tourism economy space in Sichuan Province and its spatial structure.The research showed that the spillover effect of the tourism economic development in Sichuan provincial was obvious before 2008. However, after 2009, spillover effects between regions tended to dull. The estimated coefficients of capital investment were positive, basically passed the 5% significance test,which meant the capital elements had a significant positive stimulus on tourism's economic growth. The impact of labor input on tourism economic development here showed a significant negative correlation, indicating that in the context of rapid tourism economic development, labor productivity of employees had not been increased, and the contribution of the labor factor to tourism economic development did not be reflected. Technical progress indicator plays a positive role in boosting tourism economic development, but this effect is also reduced year by year, and it has not passed the significance test since 2008, which is indicating that the existing tourism enterprises innovation and travel technology change in Sichuan Province is not enough and its stimulation to the tourism economy is rather limited.Fourth, the paper will study the interaction of regional tourism economic spillovers effect. It is required to prove the following proposition: whether high economic efficiency of urban growth poles or regional cooperation would affect the surrounding cities; or whether there are spillover effects; or whether the spillover effect is forward or reverses.We observed, Chengdu tourism economy scale is larger, as the hot spots of the tourism economic development, and is located in the center of sichuan province, we refer to the division of economic zones of sichuan province and chengdu city and the surrounding area between the tourism economy of overflow,observed the tourism of chengdu economic growth significantly at close range of Meishan and Ziyang have positive stimulating role. And some other areas such as deyang, mianyang, yaan and leshan output positive spillover effects on growth of chengdu tourism economy, promoting the improvement of the tourism economy development level of chengdu, from another Angle,confirm the "polarization effect" of the pole region. Tourism economy more developed city agglomeration in other parts of the resources around to promote their own development,makes a very dominant characteristics of chengdu, the unbalanced economic development of regional tourism.Innovation of this paper:1.This article will introduce the space tourism growth factor analysis, build tourism economic growth model from "external" and "endogenous" two angles.Tourism economic development is closely related to spatial distance. In a study of regional tourism economy, few scholars appear from the perspective of space,measure the strength and direction of inter-regional tourism economic spillovers.This paper will introduce space factor into the analysis of tourism growth. It not only understands the impact of production factors on spillover effects of regional economy, from the region as a whole, but also measures the law of specific number of spillover effects interaction relationship among economic regions. In the use of production function to analyze tourism economic output, generally set technological progress to constant, think that technological progress according to the constant ratio growth.Under the background of speeding up the transformation and upgrading of the tourism industry, build the "wisdom tourism" model of development, with the help of digital information technology promote the development of tourism industry, technological progress factors on the impact of tourism development, no doubt.Therefore, The paper build tourism knowledge production function to consider technological progress its influence on the development of the tourism economy, quantitatively define the technological progress of tourism economic growth.4. The paper conducts a comprehensive, systematic and in-depth research on the spatial structure and spatial strategies of tourism economy in Sichuan Province for the first time. It not only makes an analysis of current characteristics and problems of the spatial structure of the tourism industry in Sichuan Province, but also digs the influence factors, formation mechanism and evolution trends of spatial structure of the tourism industry in Sichuan Province. Thus, it can provide practical and scientific basis for the Sichuan Provincial tourism development Strategy.
