Along with the economic globalization and rapid development of regional economy integration,global trade has played more roles in purchase activities.The global supply chain has grown bigger.Quite many big corporations,no longer limited by the regional boundary,but seek globally the best resources to strengthen themselves.The competitions between companies have turned into the competitions between their supply chains.Purchase management,as a very important part of supply chain,matters to the manufacturing operations of the vendors and companies.Its importance is being recognized day by day.With the development of economic globalization,the traditional purchase management has shown its weakness in supporting the business growth,and gradually changed into supply chain management which catches up with the real situation.This thesis analyzes S corporation in terms of purchase and supply chain management.After the detailed analysis of its purchase mangement situation,the weaknesses are found as follows:1)the efficiency is not high because the purchase is not separatly managed by different business units,either there is continuous management or follow-up after introducing new vendors.2)The supplier performance evaluation is not effective enough to identify risks or motivate vendors;3)Purchase management is still old-school,not well adapted to fit the reality.Considering the situation of global supply chain,it proposes improvement plans in terms of vendor selection standards,process of assessing the execution,categorization of vendors,performance evaluaition and purchase mode.In the meanwhile,in order to assure the implementing these improvements,this thesis proposes the actions from perspectives such as establishing the information sharing platform,vendor relation managing,risk assessment and control and integrating resources of purchase.
