Study On Foreign Direct Investment's Technology Spillover In Northeast Of China

For more than 30 years of reform and opening-up,China's achievements in economy has attracted worldwide attention,but China's economic growth model is extensive,relying on a large number of inputs and sacrifice the environment greatly.How can we better push the healthy development of our country's economy is becoming a focus,and scholars generally agree that technological progress is important.In the process of economy development,to upgrade technology level,we need to rely on comprehensive strength both at home and abroad.That is to say,comprehensively use domestic technology research and development and international capitalinput.FDI has always been the focus of the scholars,because it can not only effectively solve the capital requirements of the host country,but also generate technical spillover through channels such as competition effect,demonstration effect,personnel training and flow effect and correlation effect,so as to improve the technical level of the host country enterprise.Currently,the research on FDI technology spillover mainly focuses on the national level and the provincial level of the developed regions,but there are few researches on special areas such as the northeast region.In recent years,due to the decline of economic growth in northeast of China,transformation is urgently needed,one of which is to attract foreign investment and increase the construction of free trade area.Based on the above situation,this paper makes use of the relevant data in provinces and cities in northeast of China to conduct theoretical analysis and empirical study in order to help the northeast region better use the technology spillover of FDI.promote technological progress in northeast China and improve the quality of foreign investment.This paper mainly studies and analyzes the spillover effect and its influencing factors from six parts,and put forward some advice to promote FDI technology spillover.The specific research framework is as follows:The first part is the introduction.This section explains the research background and research significance,illustrates the importance and practical significance of the study.At the same time,it points out the innovation points and shortcomings of this paper.The second part is literature review.This section discusses from three aspects:the existence of FDI spillover effects,the influencing factors of FDI spillover effects and corresponding comments,thus laying a theoretical foundation for the study of later research.The third part introduces the present situation of FDI in northeast of China.This section discusses the scale,distribution and resources of FDI in northeast of China.The fourth part is the principle of FDI technology spillover effect in northeast of China.Firstly,analyzing the mechanism of FDI spillover effect,including competition effect,demonstration effect,personnel flow effect and the correlation effect.Then analyzing the factors that can influence spillover effect.including trade openness,economic development level,human capital status and financial development level.The fifth part is the empirical analysis of FDI technology spillover effect in northeast of China.Firstly,using fixed effect model to analyze the FDI technology spillover effect in northeast of China,and comparing it with some representative regions.Secondly,making empirical analysis on the factors influencing FDI technology spillover effect in northeast of China in order to provide references for effective policy suggestions in the next section.The sixth part is conclusions and some policy recommendations.Through empirical analysis,we find there are significant technical spillover effects of FDI in northeast of China.At the same time,economic development level,the condition of human capital and the level of financial development play a threshold effect on FDI technology spillover effects.In addition,some policy suggestions on introducing and utilizing FDI are put forward.The innovation point of this paper is mainly analyzing the technology spillover effect of FDI in northeast of China and comparing it with some domestic representative areas.In addition,the existence of spillover effect is further verified by using the panel data of municipal level in northeast of China and then analyzing influencing factors of FDI technology spillovers in northeast of China.The inadequacy of this paper is only studying four factors affecting FDI spillover due to the inavailability of some data.
