Counter risk is the major part of operation risk in commercial banking.It is the risk that leads to bank or customers' loss caused by errors in risk control measures.Counter risk refers to the counter business processes including the open and close of bank account,cash access and settlement business.Counter risk management is very important for commercial banking management.With the gradual development of financial globalization,the industry of commercial banking is becoming increasingly competitive,and the kinds of financial products are changing each day.In the process of improving operating effects,intermediate business income also created considerable economic profits for banks besides the deposit and loan spreads.With the changes in the profit structure,the kinds of counter business and risk of it are also increasing rapidly.In recent years,risky cases of bank counter business emerge in an endless stream.These cases have not only caused huge economic loss to the bank and their customers,but also caused a profound negative impact to the order of social finance.In this context,this paper has elaborated the counter risk management theory and made an analysis of the A Bank K Branch.Then with the study of the advanced approach of a foreign financial organization,this paper has explored out the effective measures to improve the counter risk management of A Bank K Branch,which providing useful help to the other commercial banks.
