CJK Textile And Clothing Industry Trading Study Based On Global Industrial Chain

In global textile and clothing industry,Eastern Asian market,mainly of China,Japan and South Korea,plays a very significant role.But under the influence of factors like global economic crisis and behavioral change in the consumption of textile products in recent years,all countries are in urgent need of industrial transition and reformation.Being geographically close and important trading partners,China.Japan and South Korea now have formed comparatively complete gradient industrial chain.For better docking with overseas quality resources and improving the coupling with global industrial chain so as to gain diversified interests in the whole allocation process,CJK textile and clothing industry trading study is made in this paper based on global industrial chain.Firstly,connotation and coupling mechanism of global industrial chain are analyzed,and diamond-shaped model constructed in concluding previous study results.Secondly,after analysis of the development history of textile and clothing industry of China,Japan and South Korea,textile and clothing products are divided into 8 major categories and 15 minor categories based on SITC Rev3 code,and current industrial situation and competitiveness of China,Japan and South Korea are identified on a preliminary basis by calculation of such indictors as trade volume,occupancy,increasing rate and RCA index.Thirdly,coupling level of "Three Chains",i.e.,supply&demand chain,enterprise chain and product chain,as direct material basis are analyzed according to global industrial chain model mentioned above and indictors measured.As analysis results show,China,Japan and South Korea present distinct gradient distribution with each sub-chain,complementarity in trilateral trade plays the dominant role,and basically China,Japan and South Korea are industrially complementary.In addition,China,Japan and South Korea depend on each other in trade to a comparatively higher level,and keep in-depth cooperation in logistics,association and other aspects.These serve as solid material basis and preconditions for strengthening the cooperative relationship between these three countries in trade.Furthermore,in this paper,empirical analysis is conducted with dynamic division of labor and position of CJK textile and clothing industry in global value chain in employing RTV indicator.After comparing technical level of export and net export industry of China,Japan and South Korea according to added value of the whole textile and clothing industry and its 15 sub-industries,labor-intensive manufacturing industry still plays the main part with China,with technical strength weaker than Japan and South Korea,and strengthening the coupling and docking with global industrial chain is advantageous for the upgrading and transition of China's textile industry structure.Lastly,relevant advises are made as to how to further increase the coupling of industrial chains of China,Japan and South Korea,and it's hoped that"Win-Win-Win" mode shall become the driving force to further upgrading of Asian textile and clothing industry.
