In recent years,a great achievement has been achieved for quality safety for agricultural products.The difficulty of selling products out by the farmers has been solved by the selling model through E-commerce,this new selling model has also helped to settle the problem of the inconvenience of shopping agricultural products by consumers.However,comparing with the common commodities,the agricultural products,especially the fresh ones,are easy to corrupt and are not products under standards.A lot of products sold online are from unaddressed factories.A lot of negative news for quality safety of agricultural products have been reported by the media and people pay a lot of attention to the quality safety of agricultural products.It is difficult for the customers to have confidence to E-commerce due to the impossibility of touching and smelling the agricultural products as the traditional way of telling the quality of agricultural products.The quality safety of agricultural products cannot be ensured due to the asymmetrical information,the environment of E-commerce,and,the incomplete of safety insurance system of agricultural products,supervision system and credit system.Shilong town,Dongguan city,as the first testing town for informatization in China,has a high level for informatization and it is well accepted by the citizens and it is popular to have the agricultural products traded online.Base on the above mentioned background,this essay takes the research in Shilong town,Dongguan city as an example to analysis the situation for quality safety for agricultural products in E-commerce nowadays by the way of information gathering,Q&A papers and comparing by taking valuation from customers after purchasing agricultural products and the experience and research done by other researchers.The conclusion has been made that the quality safety has a big issue in E-commerce and it is difficult to supervise in such kind of environment.The customers have a low confidence for safety certification for agricultural products in E-commerce.Cutomers intent to have more attention to quality safety for agricultural products in E-commerce and it has a great impact to the quality of agricultural products in logistic in E-commerce.The promotion and advertisement for quality safety for agricultural products is not sufficient neither in E-commerce.All the above mentioned bad influence makes it difficult to get enough insurance for quality safety for agricultural products in E-commerce.According to the analysis above by using asymmetric theory for information,exterior theory,moral risk theory and governmental system theory,the reasons for quality safety problem for agricultural products in E-commerce have been analyzed and the conclusions have been made as below: 1)insufficient information between different subjects leads to the “lemon market”;2)influence by the environment of E-commerce;3)the governmental system is not perfect enough.Therefore,according to the reasons for quality safety problem for agricultural products in E-commerce,suggestions have been proposed as below: 1)to relieve the asymmetric information between different subjects in E-commerce and set up a system for brand and honor for agricultural products and at the same time,build up a good information system for agricultural products to encourage a new o2 o retail sales model;2)to improve the environment for selling agricultural products in E-commerce;3)to build up a complete supervision system and carry out the supervision system according to the regulations,broaden the ways for communication for agricultural products and set up an efficient feedback way;4)guide the internet buying in a correct way to improve the identification of safety for agricultural products by customers.
