Analysis Of IT Companies On The Situations Of Patent Output And The Characteristics Of Core Patents

With the rapid growth of the number of patents,the problems of Chinese patent quality have caused wide attention of Chinese and foreign scholars.As the main body of patent output,enterprises bears the brunt.Therefore,in order to make our country a patent power,improving the quality of patents is particularly important.As the more active area in technology innovation and patent output,the information technology industry(IT)is also an important field in patent layout of globalization.Taking IT enterprises as the research objects,analyzing comprehensively and deeply the patent output's status and the core patents' features,it is beneficial to provide the pertinent advices for improving the patent quality of the enterprises.In this paper,the main research ideas are: firstly,this thesis marks the institutions that output the more core patents from the patent analysis system named with innography,and selects the strongest ten Chinese IT companies from those as the research objects,so as to make the research more scientific,and then with the method of patent measurement,analyses systematically and deeply the situation of patent output of the ten companies.The paper not only divides the ten companies into three segments(communication fields,computer and its network fields and IT manufacturing fields)based on their business fields,and carries on the classified fields research,but divides the patents into general patents,important patents and core patents based on the patent intensity scope,including 0-3,3-8 and 8-10.And the paper analyses comprehensively the situation of the patent output under the different quality levels from the perspectives of the annual trends,technology themes and its application area distribution.Thirdly,in view of the importance of core patents in the enterprise patent systems,the thesis further analyses these enterprises' core patents from patent intensity factors,technology themes,cooperation models and other aspects,and deeply explores the related issues of enterprises' patent quality,in order to provide a new perspective for the improvement of patent quality.Finally,combing the influencing factors of enterprise patent quality,the paper summarizes the measures to improve the patent quality from the macro and micro perspectives of the patent system,the patent examination systems and enterprises' patent management and so on.
