The Industrial Base Analysis Of The Construction Of BRICS Regional Value Chain

With the continuous development of world economic integration,international economic cooperation has been strengthened,trade between countries has been increasingly close,trade relations are becoming more and more complex.China is in low position in the global value chain led by EU,the United States and Japan.China faces the capture and low-end lock threat.The economic growth rate of the other BRIC countries which face the same threat with China was significantly higher than the world average.Since the financial crisis,the BRIC countries have played a huge role in stabilizing and recovering the world economy.The development of the BRIC countries has its own characteristics.China's manufacturing industry are the core industries of value chain construction and has the highest development speed.In this paper,the comparative advantage index(RCA index)is used to study the industrial base of the BRICS.The RCA index can be used to judge the competition and complementarity between the inter-country industry relations.The inter-industry interaction between the BRIC countries is strong.The paper takes the RCA index as a measure of the feasibility of the construction of the countries' regional value chain,analyzes the RCA index of the BRIC countries to find out the influencing factors in the BRICS industry.This paper studies the dominant position of China in the construction of the national value chain of the BRICS countries,and puts forward the brief suggestions on the construction of the regional value chain.This study does not include South Africa,because the economic volume of South Africa is small.the impact on the construction of the BRICS regional value chain is not significant,and the South African economic data is not comprehensive.The structure of this chapter is as follows:The first part is introduction.This part introduces the background,significance and research of this paper.The main content includes the development of the global value chain,the brief development of the concept of BRIC,the development and achievements of China,and the innovation and shortcomings of this article.The second part is the summary of theory and research.This part introduces the theory of comparative advantage,factor endowment theory and competitive advantage theory,and then summarizes the research on the economic and trade cooperation of the BRIC countries,the regional value chain of the emerging economies and the regional value chain strategy in China,finally provides a reference for the study of the regional value chain construction of China's leading BRICS countries.The third part introduces the industrial base of the construction of the regional value chain of the BRICS countries.Based on the previous study,this paper further studies the comparative advantage index of the BRICS industry and studies the competition and complementarity between the BRICS industry.Study on the feasibility of constructing the regional value chain by empirical analysis.The fourth part is the empirical analysis of the influencing factors of the regional value chain construction of the BRIC countries.The comparative advantage index is used as a research index to construct the regional value chain.The comparative advantage index of the BRICS industry is used as the explanatory variable,and the system quality,capital output ratio,per capita GDP,R&D expenditure,human capital,total factor productivity as the explanatory variable,set the basic model of the influence factor of the national competitiveness of the BRIC industry,and obtain the function factor of the influencing factors of the national competitiveness of the BRICS.Analysis on the dominance of China's value chain construction in the BRICS Region.The last part is briefly concludes and recommends.Combining with the above empirical conclusions,proposes that the BRIC countries should continue to maintain their own advantages on the basis of strengthening regional economic cooperation,the establishment of long-term stable economic and trade cooperation mechanism.China should speed up technological progress,improve the level of productivity,enhance the total factor productivity,promote human resources to human capital changes,lead the construction of national financial value chain area.
