In this thesis,Sambart's capitalist doctrine as the main line of study, dating back to Sambart and Weber's origin on the different views of capitalism, and carried out thecomparative studyon the twothinkers' capitalist issue.Sambart continued Marx's historical materialist view that capitalism originated in the former capitalist environment, while Weber argued that capitalism began since ancient times. He compared the particularity of Western rational capitalist lifestyles around the world. As for the power of capitalism,Weber did not talk with Sambart's "luxury theory",but pointed out that the Jews is a "untouchable capitalism".Meanwhile, both Sambat and Weber explored the plight of capitalism and the way of transcending it in the context of modernity.Sambart strongly criticized the capitalist economy, and in his view, only relying on state authority and power politics to achieve the ultimate transcendence. However,Weber believed that people would fall into the modern rationality of the cage, onlypeople with the new value adhere to the responsibility of ethics and belief in the unity ofethics, the transcendence can be eventually achieved, pursuingthe meaning oflifein the private sector.
