A Study On The Impact Of FDI On The Viet Nam Environment

Foreign direct investment(FDI)can bring to the host country the funds needed for the economic development and technology to help the host country economic development of relevant industries and industry.Therefore,most countries in the world is foreign direct investment(FDI)in open and welcome.Being a developing country,Vietnam is also a not yet industrialized countries are actively introducing foreign direct investment to develop national economy,and achieved good results,but the foreign direct investment in the development of Vietnam's economy at the same time also brought a lot of developed countries(regions)of pollution intensive enterprises,Vietnam's environment undertook a huge pressure.The environmental pollution problem is the Vietnamese government must attach much importance to the introduction of foreign direct investment.Based on the pollution haven hypothesis and pollution halo hypothesis theory basis,such as static steel mills to Formosa river water pollution incident as a case study,through the analysis of the handling of cases in the whole process of the Vietnamese government,find the Vietnamese government exist in the process of event handling public opinion guide work is not sufficient,the relevant legal system is not sound,work environment regulation have negligence and the masses to placate the problems existing in the aspects such as the effect is not ideal,and reference for China,the United States,Japan,Britain and other four countries in the control environmental pollution aspect experience,think the environment development plan and related Vietnam must be prepared to improve the environmental monitoring system,at the same time,through the form of legislation to establish dominant position in the process of government in environment,finally gives the boost Vietnam advice and pollution control of the foreign direct investment environment for the Vietnamese government provide reference for related investment and industrial policies.
